Maytag front loading washing machine

This worked for me for the E3 error code: Turn the machine off and then on. Enter the Service Mode by pressing the Chime and Exrta Rinse keys for 3 sec. Display the Diagnostic Codes by pressing the Rinse and Spin key. Clear the codes by pressing the Delay and Chime keys for 3 sec. Turn the machine off, unplug and plug in the power cord. This dumps the memory. Evidently, if it gets full, it causes problems with the programming and messes up the cycles.

My Maytag Neptune fnt loader Model# MAH9700AWW

I have a Maytag neptune mah8700aww
With mine the large grey rubber seal that seals at door slipped off! When this happens if you do not put back on correctly it will leak or even poor out the front center bottom of the door! My husband fixed it. But it still leaked really bad! I just took a couple of min. to refit the seal and it does not leak at all now! maybe your seal is not placed around the edge correctly! as it is easy to place it wrong! good luck!! keep my email address if I was helpfull!! We can always share problems and solutions for our neptunes in the future ! good luck

My Maytag Neptune fnt loader Model# MAH8700AWW Ser# 12227145GR

I have the same problem. The technician seems to think it could be the water is not emptying during cycles. It keeps adding water as the cycles continue and therefore over flowing the tube when it spin. He thinks it could be a water level sensor. Not sure at this point.

Loud Noise

A common problem with the Neptune's and noise during the spin cycle happens when the bearings have gone out on the tub. Same problem I had. Replaced the bearings myself after ordering the parts and haven't had the noise since. It's back to working perfectly. Would only recommend you replace them if you're fairly mechanicaly inclined...it's a process but doable. Otherwise, call a service tech but be warned, they wanted to charge me $500...or I could buy a new tube with the bearing already installed for $800. Either way, isn't very cost effective depending on the age of the machine. If you know someone that's handy, there's tons of information on the web. I bought my parts from a guy on eBay and he included a service manual for my Neptune for free.

MAH4000AWW Clothes still wet

one way to "assure this is the issue" is to remv ethe 3 screws holding the back panel on. tip the back control panel down and have a look at eh circuit board.. approx 2/3 to the left and somewhat in the middle of the control board you see a small light blue box mounted to the circuit board, just above that "box" is a small resistor that tends to "blow up" and its quite evident just fromlookin at it.. if this is the case , you def need the board and wax motor.

Neptune draining problem

If the machine does not drain start checking the drain hose.

If the drain lines are not clogged, then you will need to access to the drain pump, and clean it , or replace it if it is not working.

Machine not draining can also be caused by a defective timer control, but this is rather unfrequent. If you already replaced pump, and lines are cleared, check that there is no water return from house drain pipes, and that wirings are OK.
Once you exclude all the rest, then you have the control board fault.

Loud Noise

okay If these efforts fail, Next, test the timer motor, inspect the pump for blockage (see below), test the machine motor.the sound during spin cycle may be due to gears on the motor shaft wobble, the bearings may be worn out or some of the moving parts may be misaligned.
its a sign that the motor, the rotor, stator, or brushes may be worn .or the motor is overheating and may require lubrication, the motor's windings may be wearing out
If the motor is too hot to touch, something may be blocking ventilation around the motor.
the , bearings may be worn out

Inspect the water pump for a blockage
Inspect the coupling
Inspect the transmission
Adjust the drive belt tension
Check the motor bearings
Check the drum brakes .

Maytag Neptune model # mah6500aww: makes banging noise and causes machine to move

A loud banging sound in the pipes is usually caused by a water hammer effect. Water hammer sounds are caused by a valve closing in the system, and yet the water in the pipe is still flowing because of its kinetic energy. The banging happens as the water hits the valve that prevents it from going any further. If the kinetic energy is great enough, it can actually cause a pipe to burst or explode at the end. If a valve is closed near the beginning or in the middle of a system, the water keeps flowing after that point, and it can actually create a vacuum. This vacuum can cause a pipe to implode if the stress is too great. Roaring type noises may be coming from a spin bearing. This bearing probably had the grease washed from it because of a tub seal leak.
Squeaking sounds in a new washer are usually caused by the new parts getting broken in, and will usually go away after several washes.
The sounds of water gurgling, slurping, or sloshing during a spin cycle are usually caused by the drain pump pushing the water out of the washer tub.
Too much water pressure can cause a whistling or squealing sound. Adjust the hot and cold intake water valves to relieve this sound.
Metallic clinking sounds during spin or agitation may be the result of drive train components meshing during speed changes or after a pause.
Swishing or swooshing type of sounds may be caused by water and suds trapped between the tub and basket during a spin cycle, and will usually clear up as the water is drained from the washer

Maytag Neptune is Stuck on Settings and Will Not Start

DEAR FRIEND,
ngfam1 here for you!
I am happy to be of assistance!

This is an electronic problem. You did right to try and reboot the machine. It probably got a power surge during the storm!!
When there is an electrical storm it is not prudish to unplug or throw the circuit breaker on major electronically run appliances. ALL EXCEPT THE FRIDGE, of course!

I do this some times .
