Your washer does not have a lint filter, so it's very important to sort lint givers from the lint takers. Washers today to not have lint filters because we rely on the dryer to remove lint that does not get pump out with the wash water.

Below are tips taken directly out of the user's manual:

  • Did you sort properly? Sort lint givers (towels, chenille) from lint takers (corduroy, synthetics). Also sort by color.
  • Did you overload the washer? The wash load must be balanced and not overloaded. Clothes should move freely. Lint or powdered detergent can be trapped in the load if overloaded. Wash smaller loads.
  • Did you select the correct water level? The water level should be correct for the load size. The load should be under water.
  • Did you use enough detergent? Follow manufacturer's directions. Use enough detergent to hold the lint in the water.
  • Did you line dry your clothing? If so, you can expect some lint on the clothing. The air movement and tumbling of a dryer removes lint from the load.
  • Was paper or tissue left in the pockets?
  • Is your water colder than 60°F (15.6°C)? Wash water colder than 60°F (15.6°C) may not completely dissolve the detergent.
  • Did you use the proper cycle time and agitation speed for the load? Reducing wash time (duration) and agitation speed are ways to reduce lint.

You need to check the pump, the best way would be to take the machine outside and to disconnect the hose to the pump, that will allow the machine sensor to reset, you need to check for an obstruction in the pipe feeding towards the pump.

Try pulling the machine out a bit and looking on the back of it. There are labels back there, and sometimes it has the year made. An old chest freezer we had once showed the year as 1955 on the back label!!

If it wont spin either the belt is probally off. They are usally pretty easy to put back on if you have some mechanical skill. It's on the bottom when you remove the back panel. You might have to loosen the tensioner on the motor and slide it toward the drum, put the belt on and slide the motor back to pull the belt tight and tighten the motor.

Check the belts on the washer. They could give you a burning smell.

There is an obstruction after the shut off to the hot water hose that feeds the washer. Shut off the hot water, disconnect the hot water hose from the washer, and hold the end in the washer tub. Open the hot water shut off. If now water comes out the problem is in the hose. Replace or clear obstruction. Make sure washer at hose end is in place before reconnecting to washer.

If how water flows, inspect the input hose connection to the washer. Some have a screen filter that my be clogged with sediment or other debris. Clean and try again.

If still no hot water, there is likely a problem with the hot water solenoid valve inside the washer itself. You'll have to remove and probably replace the valve or coil (or assembly).

yes there is but you need special tools to replace it.So if you dont have the tools it will cost you more to fix it than buy a new unit.Sorry..

Number of things. The drain pump bearing could be making the noise, but if the water is out of the washer and the clothes are still very wet then you may have a transmission issue, including the brake or thrust bearing. The thrust bearing is more then likely the problem...part number...12500036. Not the easiest fix you might want to think about getting a tech to look at it...hope I've helped in anyway.

Hello,

Sounds like your belt is slipping. or your motor is going bad. I would suggest that you take off the back of your unit and then run it. It should tell you everything you need to know. The screws are usually a hex but a good pair of pliers could do the trick. let me know what you see.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France

I mostly answer front load problems but ' out of balance' is a common problem with both!
So- I don't know your particular machine but the initial cure is the same.
It is necessary to ensure absolutely that the machine, even when empty, has all 4 feet very firmly on the floor, and I mean firmly ;-0)

Doesn't matter whether it is empty or not but switch it off then-
very firmly push one front corner diagonally into the centre of the machine (sorry about my UK spelling!) and see if the machine moves or rocks AT ALL, even the slightest. If it does you will need the open-ended spanner which came with the (new) machine........which of course went missing a long time ago?!! An adjustable spanner will suffice.
Adjust the foot under that corner downwards until it is very firmly- almost pushing- against the floor but not so far that the corner lifts up!
If this corner did not rock do the same to the other.
Once you cannot rock the machine the slightest little bit, screw the locking nuts up tight to the underside of the machine so that they will not move. Ideally the rear feet should also be locked.

If this has not cured the problem it is possible that the internal drum suspension is malfunctioning but I've not had any feedback of this nature.

Good luck,

John C

Google "kit for bottom of washer not spinning", you may get by with a thrust bearing kit and maybe a new belt(belt may be ok) You do not need any special tools, and kit comes with instructions. Kit is bottom pulley some plastic gears(not best description) above pulley and some shims(washers) You will need to read up a little to install correct washer to get right lift from pulley and gears to release brake for spin,
good luck
