Washing Machine won't stop filling up
Try resetting your water level control. If that doesn't help then set the water level control to the lowest setting and observe if level exceeds that setting. If so, you may possibly have a faulty water level control, or an obstruction in the air dome or water level control hose. This can be a tricky 1 to diagnose for a novice.
A knocking noise during agitation wash cycle
could be a bad counter balance , u can remove the front panel and run a spin or wash cycle and listen to where its coming from so u don't have to replace all the balancers. on some models theres a heavy ceramic weight at bottom that at times goes bad and throws it off balance, just run it and look where noise is coming from
Agitation issues. Everything else appears/works normally.
I just encountered the same problem. I think the operation of the machine is such that the motor turns one direction for the spin cycle, and the other direction for the agitate cycle. I am replacing my motor, as I think i have a bad winding on the reverse. I will let you know.
My stackable maytag lse7804ace washer will not drain after agitation. The dial sticks and begins to hum.
As with most appliances and cars wiring harness are made to service many models for economy to the manufacture. One harness may have 50 wires in it but your washer may only use 30 of those wires. A wiring diagram is a must. If it did not come in the paper work that came with the washer you should be able to find it online. The last 2 washes I worked on had away to put them into a self diagnostic mode this may also be in your manuel. In both cases they had a no drain problem as the code stated and gave me a place to start and because of the way washers are made now adays the drain water pump gets clogged after so many seconds of not pumping it will shut the washer down. I guess to keep the motor from burning out. Taking the water pump assembly apart I found a sock yes a sock wrap around the impellers and this was in both washers. Removed the socks reassemble and both washers worked like new. this site might help you too.

if you can tip it up & see if its coming from the motor, pump of brake/clutch unit?? if none of those the maybe the main unit & it could be cheaper to buy a new one.
Water level does not recognize level....does not
I had the same problem, its the water-fill hose sensor located at the back of the tub. Sometimes it pops off if the tub goes out of balance, (poor design, no clamp on it) so if you can get in there see if the hose is properly fitted over the connector to the tub, happened twice to me, an easy fix, go by a clamp to keep it on.
Water fills to over flowing and never starts agitate or spin cycle
With the tub empty disconnect the air hose from the water level switch in the console. Blow through it to see if its kinked or restricted. Check the air bell for a buildup of **** especially near the opening where the air hose attaches. If all is OK reattach the hose and disconnect it from the air bell. Turn your water off and set it to wash. Blow through the hose to see if the switch goes from fill to agitate.
Replace drain hose
if u add an extension to the drain hose it will take a long time to and go down the pvc pipe. Just check for clog. by giving it for service one time may work.
