Maytag Performa PAV2200 - Page 9 Questions & Answers
WATER CONTINUES TO RUN.THEN MACHINE
Turn off/unplug the washer then verify if the filling stops. The
water inlet valve (part number 35-2374N) is stuck in the open position if water continues to overflow even with the machine turned off; replace it. The problem is with the
water level pressure switch (part number 21001554) stuck in the empty position or not able to switch to full position and cause the overflow; replace the water inlet valve assembly.
Note: This advice is provided with the assumption that the washer is Maytag PAV2200 where the problem is posted. Otherwise, indicate the exact model number.
I have a Maytag performa.
Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. The issue is due to worn auger dogs and/or agitator bolt is
loose which is required to be tightened. If the dogs are required to be
replaced you can order online from the link. Also, you’ll need to check the water inlet valve, water level control and water
pressure sensor with an OHM Meter or a Volt Meter and replace whichever has
gone bad. To check these parts, please see this: Water
Inlet Valve and other parts. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for
further assistance.
Thanks

that rubbing noise is coming from either the rollers which are onthe bottom of the tub or the tensioner pulley. if you repair try to buy dryer rebuild kit as a kit its alot cheaper difference of paying 20-29 for the kit and 40-50 for seperate parts
Water has started leaking during the wash cycle -

Squeaks when agitating
if its an old unit it is most likely your transmission time to get a new one before it stops agitating at all.

first get 2 phone books, put 1 under front right foot and put one under front left foot. that will allow u to see the belt running between the 3 pulleys.turn unit to cycle, select low water fill and start cycle. when it is filled to level lie down on floor and u will b able to see belt spinning. please dont put your hand near moving belt do not want any accidents.why do u think your belt is slipping? is it because your clothes are coming out damp?please reply 4 more help if u need it.
Bottom of agitator is working but plastic part
If you remove the dispensor in the center of the agitator you will see a bolt near the bottom this has came loose or fallen out. The dispensor will pull off but it might be tight. If the bolt is tight the spline has probally worn out from being loose in that case you will need to replace both sections. To veiw diagrams and illustrations of your model enter your model # at

My Maytag Performa Washer is making a scratching
The problem could be due to few things.
1.There is a seal underneath the nut that holds the air bell housing on.
2.A faulty agitator component, there is a plastic hub that connects the
agitator to the motor and this can become worn.
3.Finally it can be the transmission, this is most likely your problem.
