its in the lid switch safety assembly,there is a glass cartridge fuse on this board and if the lid switch sticks it will blow this fuse to power down the machine to protect the uses from it spinning with the lid open this board is available from most maytag dealers or appliance parts dealers

The way Maytag did that was by a plastic ring that fit in the lid rim it was deep enough that it would fit inside the top rim of the outer tub cover locking the tub into place. If in your area their is a small independent shop that sells and services Maytag appliances they may have a extra one lying around in the back,if not a peice of styrofoam shaped to fit under the lid and into the tub it would lock the tub into place for shipment.

Easy fix, no parts needed! The small hose that comes from the bottom of the tub up to the water level switch is supposed to be air tight. As the water rises in the tub the pressure builds in that small tube.
The pressure in the tubing shuts down the switch. So what goes wrong? Sediment builds up in the tubing OR a hole gets in the tubing OR vibration simply makes the tubing fall off the switch. Blow out the sediment (use them lungs). Reattach the tubing , pump out the water so that the pressure can build in the tubing once more and retry. I had this problem with my old Maytag (top-load) - it was the injector - an assembly mounted on the top left of the machine - a $10 fix (about $36 for the entire assembly) and the problem disappeared!

try to move the inside tub by the agitator side to side. if it move very hard or not move you are out of luck. you may need to disasemble the complete washer and replace the "DAMPER PADS". you need a special tool to remove the inner and outer tubs and replace also the "TUB BEARING" AND " THE STEM KIT". IS NOT AND EASY JOB. if you can not do it then my recomendation is to get a used washer.

remove the 2 front panel screws..then pull the bottom of the front panel to you and then grasp the sides of the panel tilting it our to about 35 degrees and the front panel comes off.
Reach down and push the motor toward the center of the washer from the left corner and then let go. It should slide / glide back to the original position. There are 4 neopreme gliders in the motor mount base. Usually one or more of them cracks / break over time and the end result is a slow spin.

You have to remove the motor pulley and then the motor to change these glides. (No Power to washer of course) You can leave the motor wires connected and just lay the motor on the inside washer base. The motor glide assy has to be separated from the motor to change the glides. Use the lubricant in the kits.on the motor mount and glides.

There is more that we could check but... until you check the motor glides I will not elaborate. On older units this less than $10.00 parts kit most often corrects the problem. I would much rather go step by step because we can inflict outer problems by not following tedious repairs procedures for the spin drive components..

Not that to install the front panel you must tilt the bottom toward you about 30 degrees and latch the clips in the top panel then close and secure the front panel with the 2 screws.

Probably the best way to get to it is to open the top. Pry up the top through the joint on the front if there isn't any screws there will be spring like clamps you pry out and the top will raise.

Check the tag where you find the model and serial number, they often list it there. Your owners manual should tell you as well. You might have to call whirlpool (maytag), I cannot find the capacity listed on the tech info. Good luck.

Below is a breakdown of your washer tub, I will describe here what parts to replace using the numbers on the diagram. The other numbers will be the part numbers you need to obtain from the parts house.

Part 24 is the mounting stem and seal kit part number 6-2095720.
Part 20 is the tub bearing that was most likely damaged with the leaking, you will need to get kit 21 which includes part 20. The kit part number is 6-2040130

Those should be all you need.

Is washer relatively new? Check circuit breaker for proper size (20 AMPS). Washer must also be on its own circuit. It appears that when the motor starts up it is causing a spike in current (as with any motor), so the breaker is either undersized (Note that if breaker is undersized and you up it to the next size you would also need to replace the wire with the next size up which would be 12/2 with ground), or if you have had your washer a while which I believe is your case the circuit breaker is weakening and is tripping on the current spike. Try swapping out your circuit breaker with a new one and try running the washer again.

You must be referring to the water inlet valve (part#22002360 - Anti-Siphon Water Valve) and it is not designed to be torn apart for service or cleaning other than removing the screens where your hot and cold water hoses connect to it.
$20-30 at your appliance parts store..

There is a high possibility for a washing machine to not spin or drain is the pump. With the back panel still off the washer, check the pump with the voltmeter to ensure that the pump is getting power. If the washer is getting power, turn on the washer and listen to find out if the pump is running but the water is still not draining. It may be necessary to remove the pump and clean it or to replace the pump with a new one. Once the pump is replaced, turn on the washer to determine if it will now drain and spin.
