Acer (90.18612.36B) Computer Speakers Questions & Answers
No sound on my acer
Look for two speaker icons on the laptop keyboard. Locate the right side one (not the left one).
Press and hold the 'Fn' key on the bottom row. Press the above mentioned key several times to increase the volume.
Tell us what happens.

How do i hook up
you will need to connect your speakers to your computer then you will need to install them to your computer
usually at the back of a desktop computer there is three input plugs blue green pink/red or a usb connection depending on your speakers on a laptop usually a usb connection
if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on itclick start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound,video and game controllers you might see a yellow question exclamation mark? ! or a red X Right click to reinstall drivers
click start control panel sounds and audio devices select advanced there might be a tick in the mute box untick it or select audio from the microphone drop down list make sure you have the right one selected and in the volume box make sure the microphone box has a tick in it or select the voice tab and make sure that you have the right media selected also select volume make sure the box for microphone has a tick in it
also click start control panel sounds and audio devices then select voice then select volume from the microphone you can increase the volume or you can test your hardware in XP in W 7 click start control panel hardware and sound manage audio devices recording right click on microphone you can configure speech recognition
or you might have to boost

specifically around the sound card and the CPU central processing unit dust

I got new surround sound
plug the speakers click start control panel sounds and audio,volume,advanced,speakers make sure you have selected the should be stereo (((appropriate speakers))) also audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have the correct settings there
also

No sound from speaker acer aspire computer. Which
Look down in the right corner of your sreen and find a small speaker icon. If you click on that icon it will show you if your speakers are muted, this happens sometimes by malware acting up and muting your speakers. If you right click on it it will tell you some more information. If you go into your control panel you have an icon that lets you do many more things with your sounds.

Messed it up one day and can not ge t back too
if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it
you might have to uninstall then reinstall both the sound drivers and the sound card make sure you have both of these devices backed up to a disc before uninstalling
a yellow? question mark means you need to install/update driver to do this
right click to install driver also

My acer was recently restored
It appears the audio driver has not been installed.
Download the drivers from the Acer WEB site. Make sure youselect the model of your laptop and the XP or Vista version of the drivers youthat require and it matches the Windows version that is installed on your laptop.Use this link to get to the Acer support: -

I cannot start my computer
press delete during boot up process enter BIOS then f1 for general help then run chkdsk/r/f which will scan for and repair any bad sectors on your hard drive automatically fix any corrupt files on your hard drive or you can boot it into safe mode or safe mode with optimised defaults press f10 to save to cmos and reboot once your computer has restarted and corrected itself uninstall some unecessary programs then defragment your hard drive
