HP 3600n refilled and replaced
You take your chances with refilled cartridges.
The only way that I know to fix your problem is to use HP cartridges, new ones...not refilled.
Printer will recognize paper in
Hi
Check for
the correct installation of the paper tray. Most likely the pickup and feed
rollers are worn. These are held in by little embedded plastic clips. There are
rollers in the tray itself. To remove the rollers in the tray there's a little
plastic door on the tray. Lift it up, then depress the plastic clips on the
side of the roller and slide it off. The other rollers are inside the printer
just about the tray on the right.
You need to
order roller kit online.

Could be bad fuser or a bad DC Controller.

Welcome to Fixya
Normally, you will need to use soap and warm water to see how much of it you can get off. Make sure that you don not put soap into the printer mechanism. If you already tried regular soap, step up a notch and purchase some lava soap. It's
commonly known as black soap and is made by WD-40. What sets this soap
apart from regular soap is that it's made with ground pumice, which is
material that comes from lava. With this added
ingredient, it usually gets ink right off.
Another common household item that can be used to clean off ink (either
on your hands or on other surfaces) is common hairspray. Simply spray
it on the area of ink and let sit for 6-10 seconds. Then wash with soap
and warm water.

The colours are nonexistence in
How does the inside of the printer look? If it is very dirty, then it is possible that the laser scanners are polluted. The other possiblity is that one bad cartridge can cause all colors to print poorly due to the fact that all the high voltage is driven off one board on these printers. If you recently installed a new cartridge, try swapping it out for the old one, if the print quality improves, you have a bad cartridge for sure and should have the store you bought it from replace it.
I installed the latest driver,
Kindly check the printer settings and preferences. Maybe it was set to grayscale, afterwards, try to do a print alignment and last resort is check toner if it's clean. Try to wipe with paper towel and do the printer test. Hope it may fix your problem :)
51.20 error
Hi Do the following and good luck. You may have to sen away for parts.
So, please perform the following steps to isolate the issue to its exact cause:
1. Power is an important part of LaserJet printing and inadequate or marginal power supply can cause this sort of issue to occur. Please plug the printer directly into a wall outlet to eliminate the possibility of power issues caused by other power devices.
2. Then, remove the black cartridge and clean the E-label as well as the metallic toner contacts at the cartridge ends using a dry linen cloth. Then reinsert the cartridge.
3. Then, please perform a cold reset on the printer. A cold reset clears all data from the printer memory and sets all the defaults back to the factory settings.
CAUTION: Performing a cold reset resets the Jetdirect configuration. To avoid making changes to the network configuration, remove the HP Jetdirect print server before performing a cold reset.
NOTE: If possible, print a configuration page and menu map prior to performing a cold reset. This will document the current settings for later reference.
Perform a cold reset from the printer as follows:
a. Turn the printer on.
b. Watch the control panel.
c. When the memory starts counting, press and hold the green (Select) button. Continue to hold Select button until all three Control Panel LED's are illuminated and on solid.
d. Release the (Select) button.
e. The control panel will display SELECT LANGUAGE.
f. Press (Down Arrow) button until control panel displays COLD RESET.
g. Press (Select). The printer will perform a cold reset and then continue its power-on sequence.
