Laserjet 2605 49 error

Error 49 is a firmware error. Try following these steps: 1. Press CANCEL JOB to clear the print job from the printer memory. 2. Turn the printer off, and then turn the printer on. You can try reprinting the job to see if it was a temporary error. 3. If error persists, try printing a job from a different software application. If the alternate job prints, go back to the first application and try printing a different file. (If the message only appears with a certain software application or certainprint job, try upgrading the printer driver and / or firmware.) 4. If the message persists with different software applications and print jobs, disconnect all cables to the printer that connect it to the network or printer. Turn the printer off and delete the print queue. Then reboot printer AND computer, reconnect cables, and try printing again. 6. Remove all EIO devices from the printer (JetDirect cards, hard drives, etc.). If 49 error goes away, turn printer off, re-install EIO devices one at a time, and reboot printer each time to determine which EIO device is failing. 7. If printing still fails with all EIO devices removed, remove all memory DIMMs or third-party DIMMs from the printer. (Do not remove the firmware DIMM-- printer won't function without this installed.) Turn the printer on with DIMMS missing. If the error no longer exists, install each DIMM one at a time, turn printer on, test printer. Replace a DIMM if you determine that it causes the error. 8. Remember to reconnect all cables that connect the printer to the network or computer. 9. If the error persists, replace the firmware DIMM. 10. If error persists, replace the formatter.

Hp laser jet 2605dn give a error 10.0000

Any 10 errors are related to cartridges and the memory chips on them. If you just changed a cartridge then it is possible that it is defective. Try putting the old cartridge back in. Also ensure that the cartridges are all seated fully and that the front door closes properly as this can trigger the error as well.

Hewlett Packard Laserjet 2605dn Printer: Error 79 after firmware update

HP has now admitted their firmware update causes an irreversible corruption in the formatter board. It is hard to get them to do this, but I understand they will repair at no cost if they can determine that you did install this update.

Color fading magenta

magenta is the lowest color inside, thus the magenta scanner assembly is either failing or just plain dirty. repair time should be in the 1+1/2 to 2 hour range.

Magenta cartrage is 25 % full but will not print

try printing the Supplies Status Page and the DEMO page. if no magenta on either page, then it sounds like the scanner assembly is dirty. this is the lowest position scanner; it can be partially seen from inside the cartridge cavity. Typically a 1-1/2 (ish) hour repair.

Spitting Ink

For the price of ink i would consider throwing it away and buying a new printer. This can be cleaned if the print heads are not damaged but they cannot be replaced like some Canon models. I would consider a Canon or a Brother printer as the ink is cheaper and you can find great generic inks online at lower prices.
