Uniden GMR-1088 2-way Radio Walkie Talkie Dual Pack with NOAA Weather Alerts Questions & Answers
How to unlock uniden gmr325-2
Unlock.....?? What do you mean unlock? The radio is pre programmed with set channels. You would be unable to set your own frequency channels. The FCC has some very stiff penalties for people who use radio frequencies outside of the assigned band and on radios not type accepted for the use. Sorry....
My uniden walkie talkie has the RX button stuck on the screen i can talk to the other person but it always makes a screeching noise
Hi Laura,When you see the Rx sign on the screen, it indicates that someone else is transmitting (Tx) on the channel, this is also caused by "BOOF HEADS" who like doing nothing more than dropping carriers by holding down their PTT button during a conversation, something that happens a lot on CB and without a doubt on FRS radios. There is no problem in your radio, it's Just someone else probably dropping a carrier as per above. Not much can be done about this problem, No License, No Joy.The fact you can hear the other person over the screach indicates to me that I am right, and your radio is fine.I hope this clears up your query.Warm Regards,Peter
I HAVE UNIDEN TWO WAYS
- You need to get your radio out of monitor mode. To do this just pres the "mon" button for two seconds. Monitor allows you to just listen on that frequency and also receives weaker than normal transmissions while in "monitor" mode as well.

Tony
Faulty Uniden UHO38SX-2, RX on all the time
Hello jbt3143,
Here is a way to find the component that is causing the problem. open up the unit and then turn it on until the problem occurs. Then using freeze spray go in vertical lines from bottom to top of the circuit board until the problem clears. Not the section that causes the symptoms to go away and the by narrowing down the field you should come to one component, replace that component and the retest by turning the unit on and letting it heat up again.
I hope this helps,
Thank you,
