I have cleaned the print heads, replaced

If you have a a solid red light showing you will not get any printing done. On the epson printer which red light is showing? Is it the one for the black or the color? Was that cartridge replaced by you? I have actually seen one cartridge's red light glowing and so replace the cartridge. Then the printer goes through a charging sequence and to my surprise another red light is showing, but this time it's the other cartridge, because the printer was already low on that color and the charging cycle emptied that cartridge enough to trigger the light to start blinking on and off. Now suppose it's the same light that is still on even after you replaced the cartridge. Do this: hold the paper in feed button for about 3 seconds. The printhead will move to the left. Lift up the clamp of the cartridge that
has the red light glowing and bring it down somewhat definitively again to lock the cartridge down. There is a microswitch that is reset when this is done that tells the printer it has a new cartridge installed. Sometimes when a cartridge is replaced the switch is not reset if the clamping process is not definitive enough, or it simply needs to be done again. When you've done this push the paper infeed button again to move the head back to park postition.

Good luck,

It's just a dirty feed roller, you have to reach in and wipe the roller that pulls in the paper so it won't arrive late. Wiping with a damp rag should be enough.

I want to use my new recharge of my printer

Charlie,

Please consider this:

Are you using a factory new ink cartridge?
If you are using a refilled or third party cartridge that may well be your problem. Most manufacturers build logic into their products to prevent the use of “Other Equipment Manufactured” cartridges as well as re-filled cartridges.
They do this to prevent problems from contaminated inks causing problems with print quality or damaging the physical printhead.

My printer smears or misses printing part of the

Your cartridges either need to be cleaned or re-aligned. Your printer should have these options. Try them. It should work. There could be something blocking the copper pins in the printer, where the cartidge meets the printer. Check to make sure this area is clean and there is no ink covering these areas. Also check that the cartridge is clean also. If this doesn't work, buy a new cartridge. If that doesn't work, I'm afraid you may have to buy a new printer. Cheers.

My Epson cx 4200 won't

It's highly likely that you either have a foreign object down the paper feed tray or the guides are incorrectly set...

Hopefully one of these will solve this:

1. Remove any paper, tape down the scanner lid and
gently tip your printer upside down and give it a GENTLE shake to see if anything drops out. This is really only something I'd recommend for someone strong and careful so take your time.

2. Check for any jammed foreign objects such as pens, paper clips, etc...that have fallen down into the printer. The place to look is wherever the paper seems to be bunching up most as it goes through

3. Make sure you're inserting the paper, with the guides set to the correct width and not loose. The guides help correct any issues with skew as the paper is pulled in, so this may correct any other issues.

Hope one of these helps..

My CX4200 is printing very close to the left edge of the paper.

Normal 0 I suggest you get a sheet of Card Stock (Heavy paper) and place it in the feed way. Then press the print button applying a slight amount of pressure on the Card Stock so it will feed through the printer. The reason for this is in some cases I have been able to clear the paper track of debris that was deposited there over time.
Worth a try, as I have fixed a number of printers this way, saving costly repairs.
Hope this helps. Bud

Cx5500 all in one and use T0731-4 ink cartridges

If you are using a compatible cart and the printer has twice reported the cart as empty when they are new, chances are there is a problem with the printer. You can buy a chip reseter off ebay for a couple of bucks and try resetting the cart. If the machine still reports the cart is empty you either have dodgy chips on your carts or the printer is having problems reading the chip, This could be caused by a bent pin/contact in the print head cartridge receiver.

Epson CX4200

I just Fixed the error of All Lights Flashing on my epson cx4200 printer.
Solution: I Totally unpluged the printer from 110 power source
then waited 3 minutes, then press the On button and let the printer run thru its normal noises during start cycle.
Originally I tried to just turn printer off with the off/on button but this did not ix the problem.
So make sure you TOTALLY disconnect the printer from the 110 AC power source.
Hope this helps.
