I have a new droid by motorola and an old h500
You need to put your H500 into "pairing mode" by pressing the call button until the light turns steady blue, instead of blinking. Your droid will then see it when you are in the Bluetooth Settings screen under Networks & Wireless. I just did this myself last night and it worked fine. Be forewarned, however, that you cannot voice-dial with your bluetooth - only answer calls. There are several forums out there that are bashing Motorola & Google for not having this basic functionality.

I have tried to pair up 2 different Blue tooth
It seems that there's no problem with the pairing they just wont establish the connection , you can try this step first delete all pairing information from the Xenon, turn off the
phone, remove its battery for 30s, then turn it on, put the headset
into pairing mode and try again.

Not holding the charge
From the information you have provided, the battery in the unit needs to be replaced. From past experience, I can only suggest that you replace the H500 Headset. When I need a new headset, I've always been able to find one on eBay for a fraction of the retail price. (Usually about $20 for nice one in a 'bulk' package - where the same unit in a retail package would cost $89.95)
The ones I purchase on eBay are new, they just don't have a retail box or instructions (sometimes). If you elect to use eBay, and don't get instructions with your new headset - just re-post here on FixYa requesting a link to the owners guide and we'll send you one ASAP!
If you found this information helpful, please give me a big thumbs-up when you rare my answer. Thanks!

How to sync my bluetooth?
Hold the power button down approx.
6 seconds until the blue indicator light turns on and remains
steadily lit. (The light will flash while you
hold the Call button.)
If the indicator light is flashing or does not
remain steadily lit, turn off the headset and
repeat step 1.
Go to your cell phone after you've done the above directions and:
Select (Menu) > Settings > Connection >
Bluetooth Link > Handsfree > Look for Devices.
The phone lists all Bluetooth devices it finds.
Select Motorola H500.
Press OK or Yes to pair (link) the handsfree
Enter the passkey 0000 and press OK.
Note: Passkey cannot be changed
I hope this helps anyone else who's having a problem pairing their Motorola H500 Bluetooth headset :)!!! I just got mine to work w/ the same info!!!

My iPhone 3G does not discover my Motorola H500.
Try this link. It solved my issue www.scribd.com/doc/280088/motorola-h500-bluetooth-earpiece-manual
. Basically what you need to do is power the earpiece off. Make sure that your IPhone is not currently attempting to discover bluetooth devices (i.e. Bluetooth is OFF). Hold the On button on your earpiece (it has the symbol of a phone on it) for 6-10 seconds. The light on the earpiece remains lit. Now your earpiece is in discovery mode. On your IPhone, go to Settings, General, Bluetooth. Turn Bluetooth ON. Now your phone and your earpiece are both in discovery mode. When you see "Headset" listed, select it and enter the password "0000". Your IPhone is now paired with your H500 headset.
