Remove fan dell optiplex gx520

Hi I have a Dell had it for several years I try to vacume it inside and out to keep the dust down if you look at the rear air vents they will be covered with dust this will make it burn out , Now to replace the fan first of all you should have a Ground bracelet, you can get this from Radio shack about $4 or so you attache dit to your wrist and to the fram , of the PC unplug unit open the cover the fan is in the rear of my unit but yours could be any where I am sure they are all different , it should have numbers on it to make the ordering easy , Oh you need this bracelet incase you have any static electricity this will destroy your unit and you will need more then a fan , just take your time i just change a power pack it took me 15 mins good luck

Dell pc will not fire

This alarm indicates different errors. A common one is that the computer system is not able to detect the RAM installed in your computer. What you need to do is to remove the RAM modules and clean their gold fingered connectors with tissue paper. Be sure to also clean the RAM slots with a vaccum cleaner, be gental though. Then install the RAM modules into the slots in the correct orientation, indicated by the small cut out around 3/4 on the module connector.Take care!damnor01

I need to connect a

As I see you have two choices to connect your PC to TV.1. Use VGA to RCA Component Cable 10_11_2011_2_00_21_pm.jpg2. Use VGA to Scart Cable - It is hard to find that one.So if you choose the first option, you have to connect VGA to your computer (it is marked with 9 in the picture below) and RCA end to the TV.Before that, lower the resolution of the computer and set the frequency of the Video adapter to 50Hz.Make sure your Video card software initializes the TV.That's all. Simple as that.Good luck!10_11_2011_1_57_46_pm.jpg

Manual for Dell GX520

Dell has the User's Guides for the Optiplex GX520 here: http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/opgx520/en/ug/index.htm . Select your desktop form factor. The direct link to the manual for the desktop version is http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/opgx520/en/ug/dindex.htm . If you would rather download the files, see http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/opgx520/en/index.htm . The Quick Reference Guide is a pdf; the user's manual is a .zip of the html files. Download the user's guide and then locate it on your desktop or downloads directory. Right click on the file. Select Extract All. (I'll assume a version of Windows with the built in unzip tool. Otherwise you need the software to extract the file.)

I hope this helps.

I have no sounds through

Hi lyndsayharve.. Try this solution to your problem. Look for the speaker icon on your desktop in the right bottom portion of the sceen. Also when you find it, RIGHT click on it, you will have two choices to make, choose and check each one of the choices to make sure that NONE of the boxes on each choice has a checkmark in Mute,if there is a check mark then uncheck it.NOTE:In "Open Volume control: you will find slider to adjust for volume,Wave,CD Player, etc. After that is down, then LEFT click on the speaker icon and make sure that the slider is all the way to the top and that the Mute does not have a check mark,if it does remove the check. If that does not work then re-install the audio driver for your computer.Audio driver for your Dell GX520 at this webpage. Please take time to rate mehttp://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?os=WW1&catid=3&dateid=-1&impid=-1&osl=EN&typeid=-1&formatid=-1&servicetag=&SystemID=PLX_GX520&hidos=WW1&hidlang=en&TabIndex=&scanSupported=True&scanConsent=FalsePlease take time to rate me thumbs up

Yellow light on the power

A solid orblinking Amber power button indicates a voltage problem. This can be caused bya defective power supply or a defective motherboard. Just to make sure thatnothing else is causing the problem, remove any PCI cards like modem, videocard, sound card, etc... Remove the memory modules and disconnect cables toCD/DVD drives. Look at the USB ports to see if any are damaged.
