Does this service cost?

On this section, there are no charges, but there is also a side of this site that charges for advice and even has chat and telephone support.

Difference is normally the completeness of the answer, and the speed that it is answered.

I have a frontload GE

Hi

Please make sure the door seal fine. If not then you'll need to replace it. Also check that nothing is blocking the drain pump assembly. If still the issue is not resolved then the control board has gone bad and should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Need to get replacement belt for washer. where to

If the model number you have this question listed under is correct, the part number for a replacement belt is WH08X10024. You can find it listed at appliancepartspros.com for about $37.

If you have never replaced a belt on this type of washer before, the following link explains how:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3059652-drive_belt_installation_whirlpool_duet

The link is for Kenmore Elite and Whirlpool Duet, but the GE model listed is identical in design.

If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

I just cleaned the filter

I am very sure that even if the latch on the door is proper it is not being sensed by the washer. So only you are experiencing the problem of beep when u start and nothing else. You might need to replace the latch assembly behind the front panel.

GE Washer won't spin

I believe your problem is a clogged drain hose.  If the pump can't pump anything out of the tub during the spin cycle, the machine doesn't complete the cycle.  Using a phillips head screwdriver, unscrew the three screws across the bottom of the machine, just above floor level.  Remove the panel and look for the 2" drain plug on the right - it's white plastic.  Now, if you have a shop vac, get it out and get ready to **** up all the water that drains out of the tube when you remove the plug.  Alternatively, you can use a bunch of towels.  More than a gallon will come out.  Clean any of the **** out of the screen attached to the drain plug and look for any debris in the tube in which the plug screws into.  This should fixya.

Washer wil not spin or drain out after cycle completed

sounds like drain is plugged. this is a fairly easy fix,and you actually get paid to do it. unscrew the bottom panel of your washer should be 3 screws on the very bottom then you will see a white plug that is about 2 1/2" unscrew it (make sure you have a bowl under it water will leak ) and pull it out. this is where you get paid you will find all kinds of change and junk just clean it out reinstall and your clothes will be a lot drier after the spin cycle

Washer won't stop!

Viv, hopefully it's just your filter thats clogged with lint and stuff. You will have to remove the front lower panel and the pump filter cover will be right in front. It just unscrews and pulls out. These models have a pressure switch that will not allow the machine to advance into high spin if it detects water in the tub. This is an easy job, just grab some towels and be ready for some water when the filter cover comes off. Clean out the stuff and see it fixes the problem..Catriver..post back.

I have a GE front

This is the sign of a pump failure, the brushes in the pump motor are getting weak and this makes it hard to start the pump. Once you spin it it will take off because it had the impeller loosend before starting. I would say at the least you have bad brushes and maybe a bearing in the pump trying to seize on you. I would get a pump motor and keep it handy!

Washer does not spin out the clothes very dry, and

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

Quick silly question(s) ;-0)
Are you selecting the right program? Wool is spun fairly slowly and the speed would not be fast enough for normal garments. If you have selected the right program(s) for the particular garments, I would immediately contact the vendor/supplier as the machine is under guarantee, I presume.
Did they install and test it?

Good luck,
