Check water level sensor and its pipe is not blocked or restricted by powder buildup.

Buy affresh washer cleaner. its around 10 bucks and it cleans the inside of the washer and all the internal hoses. It works great! I am service tech in grants pass oregon and i use it on all the washers in the shop with no complaints.

Could be the dampers are broken or loose also could be a spring has come of the top of the tub.

I am having the same problem w/ our brand new front loader washer, it pauses constantly, and even when I can get the load to finish, I have to drain and spin atleast 3 x before I can even attempt to put in dryer, at this point it is taking me hours to do one load of laundry!!
Ugh-- Service man is coming tomorrow, so I will share what I learn...

Check to see if there is any debris in the drain hose filter. We found a license (yes, really!), 86 cents, lots of fuzz, a few candy wrappers and a bandaide. Otherwise it could be the washer timer. Mine kept getting stuck in a cycle. Repairman said it was the timer. Trying to decide if I want to fix it or trash it. Part for mine is $215, labor $200.
