If drain hose is connected to a standpipe check that it's inserted no more than 4". You may be getting a syphoning situation that is allowing gray water to contaminate clean clothes.
You are probably hearing the balance ring. It's supposed to sound like that. If your clothes are still spinning out nicely, all is as it should be. No worries.
It could be a dry rot hose or the pump could be leaking might be an easy fix it depends whether you want to repair it or spend allot of money on a new dryer are u pretty handy i could assist you on how to fix it .
