Argument error casio
What you inserted inside a function (its argument) is of the wrong type, or most certainly you used the subtraction sign (-) instead of the change sign (negation).: the small minus sign in parentheses.
FX9860G
It cannot display irrational numbers: it displays a decimal approximation.
Hi,
I am from Singapore. I have a fx-9860G Casio
When you took the batteries out, was there a white or greenish deposit around battery terminals, or battery leaks or swelling?
Most likely battery electrolyte has leaked into the electronics, eating through wires / parts, or the battery connector terminals / springs may just be corroded and need a toothbrush.
Best to open the back cover and inspect for corrosion / damage, cleaning where needed.
For cleaning dried electrolyte, it's best to remove the entire board, unplug display, soak in medium-hot water with dishwasher, or Coca-Cola, for 1 hour.
No, I don't work for Coke - just saw the tip once on You Tube. ;)
Gently scrub then rinse well with clean running water, allow to dry.
How do you find the derivative without values for x
I am not sure I understand what you want, but if I am guessing right, you need to calculate formulas for derivatives, where the name of some variable appears eg= d(x^2)/dx = 2 x.Sorry, the calculator does not have a CAS, you cannot perform symbolic calculations regardless of the subject (derivatives, integrals, sums of series, factoring polynomials, expanding polynomial products, polynomial division, etc.)
My Casio FX-9860II calculator won't connect to the computer!
Whether you are using the FA-124 USB software or the FX-interface, you must first click the OK button (on Computer) on the window that pops up when you instruct the software to receive from the calculator. After clicking the OK button you press the transmit menu or the F-D key for a hard-copy (screen capture).
If that works, transmission is OK. and you should read the software manual to figure out how to send to the calculator.
Usually you need the add-in installer, which you can download from the casio Web site.
Eigenvalues
I am sorry to disappoint you but the Casio FX-986G does not handle the calculations of the eigenvalues and eigenvectors of matrices. Maybe the newer OS versions can do that.
The Graph 100+ sold in Europe (I forgot the equivalent model in North America, maybe the FX9860GII Plus) can find eigenvalues and eigenvectors. Here is how it does it. See screen capture below. Compare with your calculator to see if you have the EigVl( and EigVc( commands in the catalog.
Memory error instruments
Exactly what were you trying to do? It helps to understand the problem
you are having. Usually it means that the result exceeds the capacity of
the memory (Too big). The upper limit for the calculator is 9.9999999..
*10^(99) or 10^100.
