Casio MS-80TV Scientific Calculator Questions & Answers
Casio seem to have a problem with the percentage key
The issue is the fact that you are adding the %. You need to Multiply it by 1.1 instead of trying to add 10%. This is a wonky equation anyway, because your not specifying what you want to add 10% of. This is why you are getting a weird answer.
How do I change the tax rate on my casio ms-10vc
Please try the following...
Press AC twice. Hold down % set key for about 2 seconds until ?0? disappears on screen, then reappears. Press Tax Rate key. Input tax rate (12.5%) and press % set key.
If this does not work, search for your model number here on Fixya and you will find other solutions posted.

Tax-
The Tax- function allows you to take the total cost (sub-total + tax) and it will subtract the tax and leave you with the sub-total (before tax).
Example:
If the item you have is $5 and the tax is set to 5%... when you use the Tax+ key it'll give you 5.25.
Conversely, when you enter 5.25 and press the Tax- key and it will give you the base price of $5.
So the Tax- key removes the tax from the total amount.
It doesn't remove the percentage OF the total amount.
Installing new battery
Turn the calculator over. Look for some small screws that fasten a 1 or cover to the body of the calculator. Loosen the screws and remove cover. You should find button cell batteries. Before removing them make a note of the sign you see on the batteries (+ or -) while they still in place. Replace the batteries with the same model or equivalent ones. Replace the cover.
For more detailed instructions consult your calculator's manual.
Percentage button!!
they call it hardware malfunction. try removing all batteries in it and wait for 30 seconds before reinserting the batteries. If the same problem still exist, the unit is permanently damaged.
