GE Monogram ZICS360NRRH C... Bottom Freezer Refrigerator Questions & Answers
Defrosting Problem
Possibly sounds like the heating element on your defroster is burnt out or the drain hole for the defroster is blocked, not allowing the defrosted water to drip underneath the fridge to evaporate, thus causing a buildup of ice. That buildup may be blocking that vent that goes bwtn the freezer and fridge. The heating element is simply checked and/or replaced by removing back panel of freezer. It's about the only thing behind that panel and likes like a row of fins. Google images for a better understanding of what you are looking at. If its a block of ice, you know there is a problem. The element is replaced by simply unplugging it and replacing with a new one. You should also see a small hole at the bottom of the freezer. Try pouring a little water in it and listen to see it its running into the plastic pan that's underneath the fridge (usually visible if you take the grill off). Some models have a hose that kinks up attached to this small hole. Had an Amana freezer that did this on several occasions and cause the whole bottom of the freezer to become a block of ice because the water had no where to go.
My GE monogram refrigerator keeps freezing up. My
This might seem silly but sometimes having the Controls turned to max will cause a refrigerator or freezer to freeze up.Another problem could be if there's a water input system that runs through the inside of the unit for ice-makers or water dispenser internally. It could be a broken/worn tubing that needs to be replaced. If there's any water running on the outside or condensation on the tube it would explain the extra water or water vapor that's causing the refrigerator to freeze up.Does there seem to be a source of the ice, or any place that's specifically worse than others.

Ice maker not making ice
Hello, mine was not working and I called out a service tech they said I had a leak in the sealed system and I needed a new evaporator and freon. It was not getting cold enough to make ice, should be 0-10 on temp control to freeze. Good Luck, Tammy

Glowing light and warm air freezer side
HI thanks for your question. you found your freezer in a defrost cycle, which is normal function.the defrost cycle happens every day every 10 hrs. on for about 20 min. then resumes the cooling cycle. so its normal. thanks the appliance doc, please rate my answer. thanks.
Refrigerator warm, freezer too cold
Sounds like a defrost problem. Check to see if
there is any frost buildup in the back wall of the freezer. If so, it is not
defrosting as it should.
- bad defrost timer
- bad defrost heater (in freezer)
- bad thermo switch in freezer
If you don’t know what these are then unplug the machine and let the ice
melt in the freezer overnight with the door open. Then try it the next day, if
is cooling fine then you need to have a service person replace one of the above
items.
Our GE Monogram all Refrigerator
Hello,
The reason why your unit is freezing up is due to your unit haveing a defrost issue. A defrost issue is caused from either the defrost thermostat, the defrost heater, or the defrost timer or adaptive control unit having a fault condition. In order to access the defrost thermostat and the defrost heater you would have to remove the rear panel on the inside rear panel click this link
http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/frame_diagram.aspx?diagram_id=25200525&pkw_=basket&model_id=5226448&NewWindow=1 the defrost thermostat is labeled on the diagram as number 7500 this is also a parts list labeling all the thermostats in the unit as well
http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=5226448&diagram_id=25200525#d25200525 the defrost heater is part 5001 on the diagram these component need to be tested for continuity using a mulitmeter. Any part that did not show that they had continuity you would replace. If both parts showed that they had continuity you would look at to perform the same test on 237and 7327. If these two thermostats also showed that they had continuity then you would look at the hmi control which is the control board in the unit as having a fault situation. Your hmi control board is your adaptive control in the unit. If you have any further questions message me back. Please also remember when our chat has fully concluded to rank how this opinion has helped in your appliance situation it allows me to continue helping others in similar situations in the future. Thanks I await your reply if you have any questions

Cannot find the drain hole
Defrost the frige by unplugging it and let itsit for 6 hours open. remove the icemaker and rear panel inside freezer. drain is in the middle below coils. Look on the back of frige for the drain hose to help you locate the drain. It is hard to spot covered with ice but it is a hole about the size if a dime. Pour hot water thru the drain. It should drain down the tube to the bottom drain pan...
What is the best temperature for the bottom
Set both dials in the middle.
If you have a nearly full freezer, add 1 dial unit.
If you have a nearly full refrigerator, add 1 dial unit.
If your freezer is less than half full, step down 1 dial unit
Refrigerator should not be less than mid-point on dial (it gets open more often).
This is a good starting point, adjust in a month or so.
