First I would check cold control. Thats where you turn it off, if your temp is not warm. it can
be defective and not shutting off. If your temp is warm proceed with the following.
I would check the fan in the freezer. Listen to see if it is running
It moves air to the ref from the freezer
Then check to see if FREEZER CONTROL is turned WARMER WHICH MAKES THE REF COLDER AND VICE-VERSA. SEE?
The ref. temp should be about 33-35
The Freezer temp should be 0 to 10 Any thing below these temps is overkill and a waste of elect
The higher the number you turn it up to is the coldest
But is probably a common defrost problem The ice build up
is not being melted by the defrost system.The fan can't blow through the coils into the fridge.
Take out back panel of freezer to check for ice buildup. The coils should be clean.
There are three components to a defrost system- a heater,heater thermostat, and a timer unless you have a defrost electronic card.
Its best handled by a Technician but you could possibly do it by taking your model number to the nearest appliance parts store and asking for the parts. They are mostly located in freezer ,behind back panel on freezer coils.except the card which is usually located in ref The parts store will have info
Also check fan undernearh Ref in the rear
Clean condenser coils underneath
Make sure back cover is on the fridge. Some take them off and throw them away.
make one out of cardboard if its gone, using the holes of the old one.

This can cause slow ice making if its too high even tho its freezing everything else at 25 degrees
The ref. temp should be about 33-35
The Freezer temp should be 0 to 10 Any thing below these temps is overkill and a waste of elect

The icemaker is 110v
See if water is in icemaker.
Pour water in Ice Maker and wait to see if it ejects.
If it ejects thenyou need to replace water valve in rear bottom of fridge(Its the part that
attaches to water line out of wall)
If it doesn't eject then it is a faulty Ice Maker.
If its leaking or no water at icemaker or door either one, then the valve at the rear bottom of ref needs replacing

In a side by side, the most likely failure for your type of problem is a failure in the drfrost ciruit (defrost heater, defrost thermostat and defrost timer) that allows an ice build up behind the inner back panel of the freezer. And then you also get an ice build up in the cooling tubes that is susposed to take cold air from the freezer compartment to the refregerator compartment.

The next likely item is the evaporator cooling fan that is located in the freezer compartment. If it is working then there is no cold air transfer. You should be able to feel the air flow in the refrigerator section if it is working.

Actually it can cause a very expensive issue with your unit if you do not unplug the unit. The issue with your unit would be due to the compressor fan located in the rear of the the machine. If you were to pull the unit out away from the wall you would see a panel located down the bottom some are made of cardboard others are made of metal. Remove the screws and remove the panel you would then gain access to the compressor fan motor and in my opinion it would not be running which would cause you to have to get a replacement compressor fan motor for your unit. If you have any further questions message me back. P.s the heat is caused from the fan not being able to cool the compressor nor the condensor coils located in the rear which end up makeing the lines from the compressor to get hot and the compressor as well this evenutally if you were to leave the unit plugged in could end up causeing damage to the compressor itself. Ice maker stopped making ice. For this problem you have check few things. First thing, is the water filling in the ice maker chamber and then ice maker not making ice? Or, the water is not filling in the ice maker chamber so it's not making ice. If the water is not filling in the ice maker chamber then it's clear that ice is not getting made due to no water in the chamber. For no water filling, the problem is either water supply valve turned off so water is not filling. Turn on the water supply and it will fill. But if the water supply is turned on then the other possibility is ice blockage in the water fill tube. There is a tube from which the water runs and enters the ice maker chamber. If this tube is blocked then water will not enter the chamber. The tube needs to be defrosted, by using hair dryer. This procedure melts the ice collected in the tube and water starts running again. But if water fill tube is completely clear and no ice blockage or any other blockage. Then other possibility is water valve. This water valve is for letting the water in the ice maker. The water valve open only for 7 seconds and in this time the water fills in the ice maker chamber and then water valve closes and the same procedure runs again in the next water filling cycle.------- The main valve on the back of the fridge section. This main valve lets the water enter the refrigerator .In most of the cases the fault is water valve . ------------- The other above possibilities which I gave you is water not filling in ice-maker chamber so it's not making ice. But now consider that water is filling in ice maker chamber but it's still not making ice. Then the problem is ice maker unit itself. This unit is controlled by main board. But in most cases if water is filling the ice maker but it's not making ice then its faulty ice maker unit. So see if the problem is water not entering the ice maker then the water fill tube is frosted by ice or the water valve is faulty. Replace the valve. ------------

you may need to replace the water inlet valve. it is a dual valve, one side for water and one side for ice. part #2304833. see the attached breakdown #10. perhaps this will help.

Take a good look into the coil fins if you see dust get a fin brush and vacuum to control the dust and have at it. I have seen just dust cause your problem before.

Fridge section not cooling and fan is not running.The fan should actually run, then only fridge section will get cold. ----------- The working procedure of this unit is as follows: --- The compressor starts then it cools the freezer section. When the freezer reaches its cooling level the defrost cycle starts functioning. In this cycle the fan in the freezer section starts running and the cool air in the freezer section is passed to the fridge section and the fridge section gets cold. The air from freezer to refrigerator passes from the section, in that section the damper is located.--------- But if fan is not starting to run, then how will cold air from freezer will get to the fridge section.They will just remain in freezer section and freezer will get bit more cool then required.--------- ------------ In some cases its seen, that freezer section gets over frosted and ice gets collected on the freezer fan too.And this causes problem.--------------

So first thing you try is , perform, manual defrost reset procedure.---------

The manual defrost reset procedure is as follows : ----
First unplug the unit from main power outlet. Then empty whole unit completely. Then keep both the doors open. Wait for 24 hours. All the ice collected on the coils and in the freezer section will get melted. Clean the water from the sections. Then Connect the power cord of the unit to main power outlet after 24 hours/.Then set the temperature to normal in both fridge and freezer section.
