I HAVE A SONY KDL-V40XBR1 AND THE SOUND DOES NOT GET VERY LOUD. IT IS GOOD SOUND BUT NO MATTER HOW LOUD YOU PUT IT IT IS ONLY AVERAGE. EVEN GOING THROUGH THE SURROUND SOUND, SO I'M THINKING IT HAS

Your TV has 2 settings that could potentially affect this volume. One, verify the Audio Out option is set to Fixed. This allows your surround to control the volume. Two, make sure Volume Offset for each input could be set low, verify that isn't the case. Hope this helps.

Well I just changed the resolution settings in my android box to 720 from 1080p > plugged it in and my box now works...simples.

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. My KDL-V40XBR1 picture size jumps from full to zoom and will not stop - have tried resetting to factory default, using Wega gate to set picture size to normal etc,

Check for a stuck button on the remote.
