Sony BRAVIA KDL-32S2000 32 in. LCD HDTV - Page 9 - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Have lost the link from sky+ to a second tv which
Hello K Agate,
In the main room where the Sky + is locate. With the sky remote press the following.
Services.
4
0,1,select
4 (rf)
Ensure that the RF power to set to on, and take a mental note of the channel number the RF is set to. I normally set this to 38 it is upto you.
Now check that the coax lead that links the sky+ box to the 2nd room is plugged into RF out 2 on the back of the sky+ box.
Now go into the other room and make sure that there is a red LED light on your magic eye. If there is then great. If not there may be a fault with you eye. A good way to check this would be to connect it straight into the back of you Sky+ RF OUT 2 port. This would also check to see if there is any fault with the coax cable feeding the other room.
Assuming that there is a Red LED light on the eye when its plugged into the back of the TV in the other room (not the one with the sky box in), This means that there is power getting to it from the Sky + box.
Put your sky box on the TV GUIDE screen. This will make tuning it in a lot easier.
in the other room with your tv remote press the following
Channel 6 or which ever number you want it on.(analogue)
then MENU on the remote.
Go to MANUAL STORE
Then if you go down to where it give you a C ** number just type in what you retrieved from the sky RF menu.
That should bring your sky up then all you need to do now is STORE.
That should be you all sorted out now.
Hope all goes well. If so then please leave a Thumbs up
Cheers Little Dish Fitter.

Can you fix a cracked screen on a sony bravia 32
HELLO
The answer is simple to this one....NO!
This is the main problem with LCD TV's when the screen is cracked a replacement screen will cost more than a new set.
Your only cure is a new TV!

Slow picture and dark reddish tint
These sounds like you have an issue with main board or tcon. Picture slow makes me think this is a communication issue between the tcon and the main board.... This needs a professional diagnostic. The good news is i don't think it is the panel which would make the cost of repair beyond the cost of the tv. If it is in warranty or just out of warranty call sony, sometimes if it is just out of sony's 1 year warranty they will make exceptions. But you need to call them for this exception.
Some solutions are not cut and dried and an on-site diagnostic is best. In your case this is true. I have worked on sony for many years and that symptom (at least the way it is described) is not one I have seen.

My sony 32 inch bravia tv always used to make a
The click is from the power regulator turning on and off. You should always hear the click if that is how it was when you bought the TV. You can check if the TV is still on by seeing how many volts it draws using a Kill-A-Watt meter and matching it up with the specifications listed in the owner's manual. If they do not match, it can either be caused from the power supply board that is faulty or main board that is providing faulty logic to the power supply to turn on or off.

KDL 32S5500 TV When left on standby overnight locks-up, hangs.
There is a Post on the Sony Support site which I hadn't previously found. Basically there is a software bug which has come about apparently due to Freeview transmission changes. In order to stop the the machine locking up disable the 'Automatic System Update' option. A Sony centre will apparently apply a software fix to properly resolve the issue, fine if with warranty period, maybe pricey if not. I will get the fix but haven't yet done so as the workaround of disabling the System Update option works.

I'm getting an invalid format
If you accidentally set your PS 3 for 1080p resolution, when the TV can only support 720p, you get a black screen. The Westinghouse TV I used displayed a message that said "invalid format." To reset the PS 3 to the standard AV format, you shut the PS 3 off. Then you hold the PS 3’s power button down for about 10 seconds. It will reset to standard video

Black screen although TV is turned on
Hi,
Check the backlight setting in the menu, if its at 5 and up but you still have a picture then i'm afraid your backlight is faulty and you will need to have the panel replaced, seeing that you only got the TV 2 days ago I suggest you take it back.
Thanks

Blue screen, have AUDIO ON ALL CHANNELS!
Make sure video cable is connected on right socket. for instance AV1. test cable box on other tv to see if it is transmiiiting picture. If so make sure your tv is tuned to cable box if using RF cable or on slected av mode where av cable is connected

Convert ntsc to pal for sony bravia tv
While a modern PAL TV can display NTSC sources (namely DVD players and PAL VHS players that support pseudo-NTSC), an NTSC TV can not display a PAL source, unless it's an expensive multi-standard TV. Sorry pal, bad choice.
