Sony BRAVIA KLV-40U100M 40 in. HD-Ready LCD Television Questions & Answers
Channels with auto tuning
The antennas on most TV's are small and so moving the TV to a nee location may have put you in a new place in the house with even less signal. There are TV antenna signal amplifiers you can buy and for $50 or less you should be able to get something half decent that will boost your signal. Are you not getting any channel's now? Because you should still be able to get at least something in the new location. I'm just asking if you're getting any channels in hopes you didn't damage the TV while moving it?
Set top box
Hello,
If you are using only an antenna (digital tv) with no other company involved (cable dish, etc) you do not need any additional boxes to get the digital signal as the tv has a DTV input. All you need is connect the antenna, switch the tv to that input number, then use the remote to go into the settings area, change the antenna type to digital, then run a scan to find all available digital signals in your area. You should be all ok now!
Good Luck!

Hello. When a backlit LCD screen becomes pink or red in color (I've seen other color variations too), it is the backlight lamp itself. A fault it the bulb causes the wave length of light that we see to change, and our eyes perceive the change as a change in color. Replace the backlamp or have a reputable tech service it for you. :)
How do you tune
The user's guide and other documentation for the KLV-40U100M are available from Sony here:
http://esupport.sony.com/US/p/model-home.pl?mdl=KLV40U100M&LOC=3#/manualsTab . This TV doesn't have a tuner. You need to use a set top box to watch any OTA or cable channel. I wish that I had better news for you. If you need to adjust picture or the resolution, please add a comment with the signal source for your TV. If the source is a PC, make sure to that the TV is on and set to the correct input before turning on the computer. Cindy Wells
Will not power up
Most likely a power supply issue but the set will need to be diagnosed to determine the exact cause.

We just had chat session and I'm not sure why you rejected chat assistance after getting answers of all your questions.
I need to get a
As you have probably found out already, getting one at a local retailer isn't going to be likely. You may be able to get one from Sony, but it could cost you hundreds of $$. Ebay and Craigslist may be your best friend for this. Someone may be parting out a TV that doesn't work or they wall mounted and are trying to sell the stand. Be careful though as the stands are model specific. Make sure it came off the EXACT same model TV. Another source is on line parts sellers. Google "TV parts" or something similar. I've used ShopJimmy.com but there are many out there.
I changed the channels too
