Will not start when cold.

sounds like you have a weak power board, it could be a simple fix, its mostly to be weak capacitors, that will need replacing, you need to identify the faulty ones on the power board any that are rounded topped i.e not flat when looking from the side of them, they will need replacing with the same value i.e if they 16v 33uf then replace them with the same, also if the temp is on the 85c or 100c it dont matter but its best to replace them with 100c as they can handle more heat, as power board can get hot and over time the weak temp capacitors wear out due to the heat.

How add a cooling fan to a plasma tv?

You can not install anything that is not specified by manufacturer. All you can do - make sure your TV have enough "breathing" room on it's back , top and sides. All Plasma Panels produce a lot of heat - it's "normal" operation. If you still unhappy with it you can put regular household fan on the back of the TV. I doubt that it would make any difference though.

Power light but no picture or sound

Hi! My name is Chris. I have this Phillips Wide Screen TV that didn't have or come with a remote, so I had to go out and buy a universal remote for it today from a BIG W Store. I'm having some technical difficulties & problems with switching and turning it on, but as I use the universal remote to turn on the TV, I'm having a bit of a slight problem with it turning it on, Ok, Yes, it works and Powers on, but there is nothing showing or giving me the indication that there is no picture or sound showing up on this Wide Screen Phillips TV, But there is a little red & green light at the bottome right hand corner that keeps on flashing red when ever I use the universal remote to switch the power on. Is there a possibility, that i can get some help on here, to help me out with any suggestions, is to why I'm not getting any picture or sound showing up on this TV with this universal remote ? Is there anyway that i can maybe get some help with this to help me out with solving my issue with the Phillips Wide Screen TV ?
