its a failing optic block and needs to be replaced they are however very expensive to but and quite alot to install too im sorry to hear of your misfortunate mishap good luck ok

A 6 blink error code on this model is letting you know that your G1 board is not putting out your +17 volt supply. You can inspect that circuit if you are experianced, or just swap out the board.

Your Optics block has gone bad. It's been a problem with Sony for many models recently. The cost of the part can run between $800-900. Total job may be around $1200 if the part is still available. My distributor shows it on back order. I can't say it's a good investment.
