Your print head is separated from your cartridge. I think that your
print head is clogged, and that is why you can't print even with a new
cartridge. The cartridge in your case is just a tank with ink, the
print head is inside the printer.
You can do a software cleaning to unclog the print head.
- Click "Start", then "All Programs", then click on HP and then click on "HP Solution Center"
- Click on "Settings"
- Click on "Print Settings"
- Click "Printer Toolbox"
On the
"Device Services" tab, click
Clean the Print Cartridges and then follow the onscreen instructions. There are three levels of cleaning available, depending on how long you haven't print.
When the printer is done, it should print a test page. If everything seems ok, just print. If not, you will need to repeat the procedure.
You should also know that software cleaning uses a lot of ink.
Hope that will help solve your problem!
