I have a Samsung YPTP9 player and it will not go
Hello :
Try to reset it ( restore factory settings ) . that can solve the problem.
If that didn't help , then try to update the software of your device . that helps also . New updates can be found on the manufacturer website .
good luck
rate if useful please !

Hello,
yes, all the songs on your mp3 would be deleted the moment you format it.
I wish you all the best.
Screen is stuck on hold.
Try reflashing the firmware for your device you can find the latest firmware and flashing utilities from the Samsung’s website(
http://www.samsung.com/). Make sure that you back your music up first because when you do this you are setting it back to factory settings.

Hold down the RESET hole at the back of the player until the unit shuts off.

My MP3 will not turn off either
I had the same problem. I found my solution by chance. After starting switching off process by using OFF button, press and hold arrow key which is looking down. (Please let us know if it worked for you, too)
Unable to play songs
Double check and ensure that these songs you are trying to play are compatible formats for the Samsung Yepp. This device supports MP3, and WMA formats. This would explain why the songs won't properly load as well as why the device hangs on the file transfer. This is common for it because in the process of file transfer it does "interpreting" this is a process in which the language readable by the computer such as MP3(Windows) is changed to MP3(Samsung) because they can't fit that operating system on their device it has to read it differently. If this did not solve your problem, please leave a comment and I will get back to you as soon as I can and hopefully resolve your problem =)
Videos
Yp-t9 only plays svi files.First make sure the videos you have are mp4 or avi or wmv. Then open samsung media studio. If u dont have it then download it.After that put the videos in your yp-t9 using the samsung media studio. The samsung media studio should convert those files into svi format which can be read by your yp-t9
Games
I have done it lots of times .You can even get new themes. All you have to do is download the latest firmware or Go to Download Center at Samsung.com
Click TV, Video & Audio.
Click Digital Audio Player.
Click Yepp.
Click your model. The name of your model is at the back of the MP3.
Click the firmware that you want.
Then you'll come to that page ...If you scroll to the bottom, you'll see
"200703221...etc"
Click on that.
You have to either have Winrar or winzip. Any "extracting" software.
Extract it to desktop or wherever you desire.
When you connect your MP3, there'll be a drive in your "My Computer" probably called YP-T9 [F;].
You drag the firmware that you have downloaded and put it in the 'System' folder.
The files should be MUON.ROM and SYSDATA.
Remove the MP3 from the computer, when you on it again, it would update automatically.
Hope that helps. =
