My Samsung YP-P2JAB MP3 Player Not Recognized by my PC

I also have downloaded MTPPK12 porting kit, and it has been completely useless for me. I would just uninstall the MTP device, and reinsert the player in MSD mode.

No detection

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

Can't get it on

Hah! Fixed!
I emailed Samsung, and long story short, hold the menu button down and the A<-->B/Recording button down, and it resets the system. Mine works now, but unfortunately, I think you'll be out of luck for your bands demos...

I cant put song in my samsung yp-t9jaby/xaa

You may need to download software for your mp3 player of the manufacturer website or try using Windows Media Player 11.

To try using Windows Media Player 11 follow these steps:

Go to Windows Media Player 11, when you've opened it click on the link at the top called "Sync" once your on that your mp3 player should be there now just simply drag and drop music files where it says "Drag Items Here" on the right panel, then click "Start Sync".

Now unplug your mp3 player then see if it's worked.

If you want to try the other way download drivers for your mp3 player and vista go to this link - http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/index.asp

once your on the site fill in the information about your mp3 player then search and download drivers, but the first step using windows media player i said to do should work no problem.

Good luck. Hope my solution was helpful.

Transferring files...

my brother had exactly the same problem as yourself.
wht i did was to take his mp3 player apart and disconnect the battery then putting it all back verry carfully i then tried to put things on his player and it now has no problems whatsoever.
i must stress the fact that if you do take the mp3 player apart do not touch any part of the pcb board as the static from your body will blow the components straight away.
so be carful and only touch the verry side of the board.
when putting the board back make shore that the board is angled awy from you as all the touch keys will go to the top of the board instead of being in direct contact with the keys.
i know what im talking about as im an ipc specialist.
so be warned.

Kinda long, sorry: Unable to safely remove or rename folders/files on my YP-T9

It sounds as if it a problem with write caching.

Basically, if write caching is enabled, any changes you make to the files in Windows are not actually carried out at the time, but are saved into memory and then when you select safe removal they are written to the external device in one go. From what you describe, since you can't select safe removal, it sounds as if the changes are never being written to your player.

Try this:

Go to My Computer, right-click the icon for your player and select properties.

Go to the hardware tab, scroll down the list and highlight your player and then click properties.

Go to the policies tab and make sure 'optimize for quick removal' is selected.

Ok your way back out.

Hopefully this should solve the problem.
