I HAVE A TOSHIBA SATALITE A135-S4427 TURNED IT OFF
Try removing the battery and power supply, hold the power button for about 10 seconds then just plug the power supply back in (not the battery) and see if it turns on.Holding the power button with no power supply can discharge any stored power in capacitors.

How to reset factory settings
This laptop will sometimes need the CDs for a factory reset. Try the steps below. If "Repair Your Computer" is missing from Step 3 OR if you cannot find any of the listed options in Step 5, then you need your Recovery DVD. If you don't have a Recovery DVD, then you can have one mailed to you from Toshiba ((800) 457-7777).
1. Restart the computer.
2. Repeatedly tap the F8 key until you see the Advanced Boot Option Screen.
3. Select Repair Your Computer and hit Enter.
4. Select your keyboard layout >> NEXT.
4.5. Will have to login to their account. Hit drop-down, choose account, type PW. NEXT
5. On the System Recovery Options Screen select "Restore Application" (May be Toshiba Recovery Wizard, or System Image Recovery).
6. Follow the on-screen instructions.
7. Recover to Factory.
8. When prompted, select on "Full Factory Recovery" or "Recover to out-of-the-box state."
9. Select Next >> Yes.
10. After a couple of minutes the recovery will be completed.
I hope this helps! If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to respond to this post and I'll be happy to assist. If you found this helpful, please leave a great rating so others may benefit from from this answer too!

Hi I got
Need
drivers?
Always
get your drivers and specific software from the manufacturer of your
Laptop, Notebook or Desktop. They are usually free of charge.
If you were to log on to the www.toshiba.com
web
site,
usually one is able to download if available, by model
number,
All
available Driver
downloads
as required.
If the driver is not
available, perhaps your manufacturer does not support the OS you are
installing.
This is the best way of ensuring up to
date drivers for your system and they are free of charge!
I hope this helps.

When I star up my
Seems a problem with RAM.
Remove your RAM from the slot and start the PC, long beep sounds are audible, then the RAM is OK, else time to buy a new RAM/ memory.
Else Try for the Hard Disk, Check the Hard disk in your's friend's PC, remove his Hard disk and insert yours, if the same problem arises, change the Hard Disk or if nothing happens, system boots,
it seems a problem with motherboard, Get it repaired by a expert or buy a new one.this will work.
Enjoy !!!
Thank you for using Fixya !!!

I am having Toshiba Laptop
Base from the description of your problem this can be a loose connection on your keyboard, what you can do here if the laptop is already out of warranty dismantling the laptop to check the inside will be a good thing to do.
This site will give you some steps that you need in cheeking the inside of your laptop, but if your laptop is still under warranty I suggest you use that warranty to have it repair.
Just click
