Lexmark X2470 All-In-One InkJet Printer Questions & Answers
I have a Lexmark X2470 and the light keeps blinking green what's wrong with it
What is the speed and pattern of the blinking light? If you see a slow blink, then the all-in-one is out of paper (or can't pick up the paper). Add paper and then press the power button. A fast blink indicates a paper jam in the printer. Try automatically ejecting the problem sheet by pressing and holding the power button while you pull the sheet from the paper exit tray. Otherwise, turn off the printer and then manually pull out the paper. Make sure that no ripped pieces remain in the paper route before turning the printer back on.
If the pattern is blink, pause, blink, the printer cartridge carrier either is blocked or a cartridge is missing or improperly installed. Raise the scanner unit and remove anything blocking the cartridge carrier motion. Put in a new cartridge of the correct type (if needed) and make sure that it is properly seated. If needed, try resetting the printer by turning it off. Then disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet and then the printer. Reconnect the power cord after waiting a few minutes.
See
https://www.manualslib.com/manual/291580/Lexmark-X2470.html?page=60#manual and the following page for the troubleshooting guide. If the printer continues to blink, your printer may need service. If it's under warranty (usually one year), contact Lexmark. If it isn't, decide if the cost of repairs is worthwhile.
I hope this helps.

I have a flashing power on/off light with no paper
Hello there
You may not see a paper jam.
So it best to try this may clear what ever it is.
This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you.
Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.
First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.
If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.
And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.
Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

Why is light blinking on
The blinking light indicates that the printer is on power saver mode. The Power Saver Mode saves energy by lowering power consumption during extended periods of inactivity. However, if you try to print from your computer when the printer is on power saver mode, the printer should automatically wake up and prints the job. You can also manually wake it up by just pressing and releasing the power button. Thanks.
X2480 unable to bypass print/scan of alignment page
Here is the way I bypass the alignment when I get a new cartridge: When the screen comes up that is asking for it, it does not have the option to "cancel" the printing of it. I just take the paper out of the printer and press "print". Since there is no paper in it, it cannot print. This will make the same screen come up again, but this time it has the "cancel" option. Now, every time I want to print something out, the screen that wants to print a alignment page comes up, and I just click on "cancel" - after that I can do my printing. This is a bit annoying, but it saves me some ink.
My ink cartiage is stuck to one side on the right
Just unplug the printer from the power source. With the cover open, hold the white tape in the middle inside the printer. The other end of it is connected to the carrier. Gently slide the carrier to the center. Load the cartridges. Close the cover. Plug the printer back to power source. Hope this helps.
Keeps wanting to print alignment page
To align the cartridge from the control panel:
Please follow the steps given below:
1. Please Load a plain paper.
2. Press and hold the "Scan" button for three seconds.
3. An alignment page prints.
4. Place the alignment page onto the scanner glass.
5. Press the "Scan" button.
6. Once scanning is complete, the cartridge has been aligned for optimal print quality. Alignment must be complete before continuing with any print jobs.

Paper slipping Lexmark X2470
Leading cause of paper
jams or misfeeds is debris / foreign objects that accidentally fell into the paper feed
area. Please try this approach to fix the problem:
- Remove the sheets of paper from
the feeder.
- Grab a flashlight and look
inside the feeder for any debris or foreign objects.
- If you're willing and
physically able, you may also carefully turn the printer over. Any debris
should just freely roll out from the feeder.
- If feeder is clear, place the
printer on the table. Open the printer cover and remove the cartridges.
- Check the cartridge area for
any obstructions in the paper path.
- Close the printer cover.
- Re-brick your printer by
pulling out the power supply - the black box where the power cord is
plugged into. Re-plug after 30 seconds.
- When the printer turns on,
reinsert the cartridges and load some paper. Try to print again to verify
that the problem is fixed.
