Green lines on screen
The line is only present with HDMI input. I recommend switching to component at 1080i.

Phillips ambilight 50 in red light problem
I had this problem on a 42" Philips Ambilight. After reading in another forum, opened up the back, and found 2 leaking capacitors on the center circuit board (main power supply pc board) toward the bottom. Tops of the capacitors were bludged out (10v 3300uF) and leaking electrolytes. Unsoldered the old ones myself, went to Radio Shack. They were out, so order 12 on ebay for $6.63 including shipping. Resoldered and works fine. Can't do it yourself? Take the board out (just unhook the cables & unscrew it ), and take it to a computer shop or tv repair or someone who knows how to solder, and have them change them. Piece of cake!

50PF9431D/37 error code 6 slow
This error code is usually caused by failure of one or more hardware.
it indicates short tracking on the board.quite possible that some of the capacitors on the main board might have bulged up and gone faulty causing a short track.
check and replace the faulty capacitors or any components causing short tracking to fix this problem.
its a very common problem that many people face.
This
will help. Thanks, please keep updated. please
do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya

The power in the house went off and now my tv will
Hi,
You may have a power supply issue. What you need to do is to get the schematic for you TV. You can do this by calling the manufacture and asking for the service manual and the engineering diagrams for the TV. They will charge you but that is part of the cost of fixing these sets. After you have the schematic get a multimeter (you will need it to take voltage measurements
Now thru experence of 2 simular power supply units in the rear of the screen, I have found that in 2 cases that filter caps of 16 volt rating have swelled uo on top end and checked open or low capacitence and/or shorted. They appear to be under rated, voltage wise for the power supply.
On repacing the 16 volt rated caps with 35 volt rated caps fixed the probel..
Think this should help you

How difficult is it to replace the power supply
The problem is you have to remove the back (lots of screws) and the board is expensive: Part number has changed and is: 996500042147---it retails for 305 dollars----I would not buy a used or repaired board if I were you--this is the problem with all plasma sets--they only sell boards--the ones for the Philips set are expensive.

My Philips 50pf9631d plasma tv turns on then red
Are you getting picture or sound at all? If not, you could have a very common power supply failure. If you get sound or picture, then you may have a faulty capacitor or resistor on one of the system boards

My tv just cut off,
The problem is three caps.
Change the cap 2663, 2664 both 100µ/25V
and 2662,1000µ/25V. After you have changed them your TV will work again.
please do not open the unit if ur tv is still covered under warranty as it would void the claim.... if ur tv is not under warranty proceed with caution... these kind of units are known for their lethal voltages so triple check that u ve unplugged the unit.... if u find other capacitors to have burnt off that wud require replacements as well.... if ur not comfortable doing this soldering urself.. please seek a tech for help...
You will find them easy if you unscrew the back on the plasma TV.
good luck and stay safe...

Philips 50pf3691d/37 won't turn on!!!
If you don't have any green lights anymore on the power supply PCB, replace it (part number LJ44-00118A, can be found on-line for approx $180).
