Can I take black and white pictures with my Panasonic DMC-FX12

Probably not; it is an uncommon wish today.
But, any editing software I have ever seen allows you to change color saturation or intensity and these can be reduced to 0, yielding your B&W.
If you don't have any editing software (last person on the planet? ;-) ), I recommend Irfanview, a freeware package (donations appreciated) that is easy to use and well-supported and gets better with each version:

Memory card locked

There is a switch on the SD memory card, slide the switch to unlock position before you insert the card into your camera.

Help! My pictures are trapped on my digital camera!!

On PLAY mode, with a valid memory card inside, press MENU/SET, goto to COPY, select internal--> memory card, select YES, and then MENU/SET.
You better charge your battery before doing copy. Don't turn off the camera during copying.
Good luck.

PLEASE TURN OFF CAMERA THEN ON AGAIN????

I had the same problem...it's something to do with the lens not focusing properly. I hit it gently a bunch of times and now it works. But don't hit it too hard! Or it'll break.

Panasonic lumix dmc fx12 states memory card full, when it is not

Check to make sure the memory card is inserted the right way. Otherwise the camera will only read the memory that came with the camera, which is very small.

Panasonic FX12

Try putting the camera in play mode or print mode and turn on and off until you get an off state with the lense retracted. Next, hold the zoom lever to the left (W) and power on. This worked for my camera. I am not sure the first step is necessary but this is what I did and the camera works fine. I think when I dropped it the lense gear got out of sync.

Flash won't work.

Hi Is the bump on the floor?

Probably you can see that the flashtube is broken?
Than let it replace.

It is also possilble that an connection failed after a bump
i mean the connection between the top operation assy and the mainboard inside the camera. (press the operation assy carefully)
