When I turn it on

In the first place you must take a recording of the object and play. If the objects are irregular try and place an old recording done when there was no fault. If the recordings are seen well then the CCD can be a possible fault.
Now record and play the recording externally as you will be able to judge the result. If so the image sensor which is the CCD is defective. You might need to take an estimate from Samsung to confirm the cost and viability.

It doesn't stay focused...gets blurry

Hello. The problem you are having is very common, actually universal with these Samsung camcorders at this price point. They simply do not stay in focus when you use the autofocus. The only good news is that you can go to manual focus which will provide you with no surprises.. The only fix for this autofocus problem is to upgrade. Regards, Joe

The zoom button isn't working and therefore when

Follow the instructions below to check and test the focusing of the camcorder.
Manual Focus
✤ In the following situations, you may obtain better
results by adjusting the focus manually.
a. A picture containing several objects, some close to the
Camcorder, others further away.
b. A person enveloped in fog or surrounded by snow.
c. Very shiny or glossy surfaces like a car.
d. People or objects moving constantly or quickly
like an athlete or a crowd.
1. Set the [Power] switch to [CAMERA].
2. Set the [Mode] switch to [TAPE] or [CARD].
(SC-D375(H)/D975 only)
3. Press the [Q.MENU] button.
 Quick menu list will appear.
4. Press the up/down arrow button to select <Focus>, then
press the [OK] button.
5. Press the up/down arrow button to select <Manual>, then
press the [OK] button.
6. To exit, press the [Q.MENU] button.
The [MF] icon and the [MF/AF] status bar will be
displayed on the LCD screen.
7. Press the up/down arrow button to adjust the focus.
[ Note ]
Manual Focus is not available in the EASY.Q mode.

Make sure the lens is clean--use a soft cloth and don't press hard when wiping--use a circular motion starting from the center of the lens and working to the outside--that way, you wont grind dirt into the glass. If the lens is dirty enough, the camera will actually try to focus on the smudge or finger prints on the lens! Look into the lens and use the zoom button--do the interior lenses move forward and backward? The zoom button could be damaged(liquid or impact), or the lens could be jammed due to impact or liquid( I just fixed my sister-in-law's unit--had cola in it and sugar acts like super glue when dry.)(Lenses jam due to excess heat, too) NEVER leave a camcorder in a hot car. The grease used to enable the parts to move freely and smoothly can flow to sensitive areas and stick like glue.
If the focusing is indeed stuck, the unit must be repaired at a reputable facility. Don't send it in through a retail store unless under warranty.--Hope I was of help.---Rick

How do i put video on the computer

Hi,

There are two types of storage i camcoder. If it is hard disk Just connect your camcoder with USB to computer. In mycomputer you can see the disk of the camcoder as a new drive there.
If storage is DVD you have to burn it inorderd to copy it to computer.
If you are using a memory card you can remove it form the camcoder and using a card reader you can transfer video to computer.
