How to replace power jack on NEC i-select M5210?
There is a risk of damage or even electrical shock from improper soldering or handling if you attempt the repair yourself. However, you might go to the maker's website and look for a link to "spare parts and accessories". See if you can order a new power socket with instructions on how to install it. Failing that, get a quote from a computer repair store to see how much it will cost. If expensive, consider replacing it with a new or refurbished laptop you can afford.

click on apply then ok the computer will restart after for the changes to take effect... this should speed up you system again, if you also have an anti virus on your computer run it scan for vruses or spyware and mallwares that can also infect your system and cause it to slow down... check your Hard drive space as well if it is going full, compute Hard drive space and check your programs in programs and features or addremove programs and check how big a space your programs eat on you Hard drive if it is full if not it is not necessary to do so.
for vista and win7 operating systems click start look for Run/Command Prompt right click and click run as administrator, on the dos window type vssadmin resize shadowstorage /For=C: /On=C: /MaxSize=2GB
then press enter an new line will show then type exit that would free up space from you Hard drive this is only an additional info regarding the system being slow and may help in the future ^_^
Activating Ace Aspire 5100 Key Board Volume Control
Not absolutely positive about your model, but on some the volume icons are on the buttons on keyboard along with the keys having something else on them. if thats the case to activate the volume probably requires holding the Fn key + Key with the volume Up/Dwn icon on it.
hope this helps please rate if it does.
First a error message, then no reaction
Your computer seems to have problem locating your HDD. Or the other issue could be your boot drive selection on boot up. Try selecting your boot drive in CMOS setup by either pressing "del" key, "F12", "F2", or informed by your computer. This should take you to the CMOS setup. Find "Boot priority" and give your HDD the 1st choice. Also make sure the computer sees your HDD. This should be under "configuration". You also need to check you CMOS battery, this is a button cell on the mother board. If this battery run out of power the CMOS memory cannot be saved and go back to factory default, where the HDD is not known. Please make note of all the changes you have made, so that if you made changes which you shouldn't have, than you can trace back your steps and correct it. If the above suggestion shouldn't work you may need to consider changing the Mother Board. PXE boot is a network boot to explain generally. You need to have a network and a domain hosting your boot systems. If you want to know in detail go to this link http://www.howtogeek.com/57601/what-is-network-booting-pxe-and-how-can-you-use-it/ . Or don't bother reading geek information :). Let me know your outcome and Good Luck.
