Replaced toner but still displays as empty and won't print

I believe you will need to purchase and install a reset chip. You can find them for the Ricoh C410 here at www.cfriends.com (that links straight tothe ricoh page - but if you need to search, type in "c410" into the search field on their site).

Ricoh C410DN set the toner cartridge correctly

If you look at one of the other colors you can see how the toner cart door slides under some plastic to open it. I bet the yellow one is broke. Tape a folded piece of paper to the end of the cartridge. That might hold it down so it will work.

Paper Jam

There is a small clear plastic sheet that is suppose to be in front of the black friction pad in the paper tray. if that sheet is under the pad instead of in front of it you will get this error.

Ricoh SP C410dn Paper only prints 11cm and stops in the Bypass T

do not use ohp film in this device as it will jam due to the use of optical paper sensors unless your ohp has a paper backing. you can set up the bypass tray for thick paper type to increase fuser temp to get better fusing etc

I have a SPC410DN Ricoh, it is having a problem

is it not pulling or double feeding? most likely it is the rollers in the bypass. most mnfs it is the sep roller (bottom of 3) that gets worn causing multiple feeding. if it won't pull it is the FR (furthest back of the upper two rollers)

Ricoh/Aficio SP C410DN Tray priority switches on its own

It is pulling paper from the tray specified within the application you are printing from or the driver. For example, from Microsoft word, you would have to go into page setup and select the tray you would like it to pull from. You will also want to check which tray it is pulling from in the driver, however the application generally overrides the driver settings. Both of which override anything you program at the machine.

Printer will not print in color

To select a specific document to print in color, open the document, Photo, etc, to print, select "print", then select "printing preferences" in the dialog box, select "color". This will print that specific document in color, but the setting will default back to B&W
Now, just FYI,
You absolutely need to set the default color, in your printing preferences - usually to Black and white -to save extra costs. The default setting is ALWAYS color when the driver is installed.. so even if you are printing a word document, the printer will "make" black out of the other colors, thus costing a lot of extra $$. Your settting has apparently been changed appropriately.
This is how it's set the default color should you ever want to change it, "right click" your printer icon in "Printers and faxes" select properties, select "printing preferences", and you will see, in the bottom left corner, the color selector, select "B&W", then select "apply", and close your dialog box. EVERYTHING will now print in B&W, unless you select otherwise, or vice versa if you swith it to color.
I hope that clears it up. Please rate my response

Brand new printer, paper stops in path

It's obviously not a brand new printer if the default has been changed, and if you're able to check that, then why not just try it?
But....
No, that wouldn't cause jamming, because changing the registration is simply changing the timing of the machine to move the image up or down the page, so regardless of the setting, it will still jam at the same spot. (I assume at the registration roller).
Is the paper setting set for the correct size and orientation of the paper you are actually using? That's what it sounds like to me. Otherwise, check paper switches.

Ricoh SP C410DN

Unfortunately the newer ricoh equipment may include a chip like the HP toner. This allows the printer to track the usage so the printer can "intelligently" determine how much toner remains in the bottle. The chip overides all other factors on the remaining toner. Hence, if the chip "thinks" that the toner bottle has little or no toner left, it will give you a false toner low message. Presently, you can only replace the toner with a new bottle.

Hi, I have Ricoh Aficio MP c2800, Machine say toner undetectable all four when i check system status and yellow, cyan is not show up on copies at all

If your Ricoh Aficio MP C2800 is showing "toner undetectable" messages for all four toner cartridges and the yellow and cyan colors are not showing up in copies, there may be several potential causes for this issue. Here are some troubleshooting steps to help you resolve the problem:
  1. Check Toner Cartridges: Ensure that all four toner cartridges are correctly installed and securely seated in their respective slots. Make sure there are no protective seals or tapes left on the cartridges.
  2. Shake Toner Cartridges: Sometimes, toner inside the cartridges can settle or clump, leading to detection issues. Gently shake each toner cartridge side to side to redistribute the toner evenly.
  3. Replace Toner Cartridges: If the toner cartridges are old, empty, or expired, replace them with new, genuine Ricoh toner cartridges.
  4. Clean Contacts: Dust or debris on the toner cartridge contacts can interfere with communication. Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the electrical contacts on both the toner cartridges and inside the printer.
  5. Check Developer Unit: The developer unit in the printer plays a crucial role in toner development and transfer. Ensure that the developer unit is clean and free from any obstructions.
  6. Perform a Firmware Update: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your Ricoh MP C2800 printer. Updating the firmware might address known issues and improve printer performance.
  7. Reset the Printer: Power off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a few minutes, and then plug it back in. Power the printer on to see if the issue resolves.
  8. Check Toner Detection Sensors: The printer uses sensors to detect the presence of toner cartridges. Verify that these sensors are functioning correctly and not blocked by any debris.
  9. Perform a Factory Reset: As a last resort, you can try performing a factory reset on the printer. However, be aware that this will reset all settings to their defaults, and any custom configurations will be lost
