Transfer from camara to memery card

The camera does save all its pictures on the memory card. When you want to save the pictures to a computer, you should install the drivers and software first. How it is done you can find in the manual. I can't find you can save pictures to an internal memory, but the only way to get these from the camera is again by using the computer. The manual is here: http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/200802/20080204145832796_S1050_English.pdf Use a PDF reader to open the manual.

My samsung S1050 lense will not open or close, it is stuck half way.

forcing it closed usually ends badly...stripped or sheered gears.TRY putting pressure on the lense durring power up...if it feels like it will move let it go....next using a small jewelers screw driver try to pull the lense open ...may take a bit of playing...be patient!

Why is my Samsung S1050 no longer taking photos, the outdoor shots are totally 'burnt out' but most flash photos are fine

Don't know if this is the problem but is the camera set on the right setting. I had a problem whereby the pics were showing like duotones but then found the setting dial had moved when it was put into its case after use. When re-used I did not check to see if it was on the auto setting hence the problem!!

Charger issue

Are you meaning that the batteries will not charge after being in the charger for some time ? Rechargeable batteries will loose their ability to take a charge. If you've had these batteries for some time and charged them many times over, they may be dead. If the batteries are realativly new, and they are not charging, the charger may be the problem.

My samsung s1050 keeps locking up intermitantly.

The Samsung S1050 is very battery hungry - make sure you use very fresh new batteries, rechargeable are great - the higher the mAh rating the better. I use Intec rechargeable batteries which are rated at 2900 mAh. If you do use rechargeables, you will have to set the appropriate menu setting for battery type to reflect the type of batteries used.

I have pictures on the camera itself how do I get them off?

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa. For pictures that are in the camera's internal memory, use the "Copy to Card" command in the Playback menu to copy them to a memory card and then you can download them to a computer as described above. See page 66 of this manual for details on the "Copy to Card" command.
