Sony NW-E002BC Walkman MP3 Player Questions & Answers
Can't connect to computer with NWZ-A816 Sony walkman.
I figured it out!
It used to be that when I plugged my walkman into my PC, the screen would read "connecting" but would never actually connect, so I couldn't add/remove songs from the walkman or even recharge it. The solution is easy. Plug your walkman into your PC, and then go to
Control Panel --> Device Manager --> Portable Devices --> Walkman
If you have the same problem as me, the Walkman icon will appear with a yellow exclaimation mark, signifying a problem. Just right click the icon, and selecte "Uninstall". After that, the driver will be removed from the PC. Now, unplug your walkman from the PC, and then re-plug it in, and the driver on the Walkman will automatically upload to the PC, and everything should be back to normal and the Walkman should work perfectly.
The problem is that the Walkman driver in the registry was partially damaged somehow (I think during a registry clean up I did earlier). Just uninstall it, reinstall it by plugging in your walkman to the PC, and voila. Let me know how it works for y'all!

I am pretty sure this is the answer you are looking for. Let me know how it goes!!!
1. Format the player, in rockchip devices this haven't any risk,
firmware is located in a different chip than data, so proceed formatting
it (if you want you can WRITE DOWN your folders structure and SAVE the
data you want to keep). No risk in this.
2. Create the folders structure you has. At least create a \MUSIC folder
3. Copy a small set of mp3 files and test them. Choose mp3 files you have played in your PC before.

Insert your memory card into your computer's reader if you have one. If not, you can purchase a multi-format USB Memory Card reader from Amazon.com or Buy.com
#2
Open up 'My Computer'. You should see it under the list of available drives.
#3
Check its contents first to make sure that you have the right drive.
#4
In 'My Computer', right-click on the drive and choose 'Format'.
#5
Leave all the options as they are and click on 'Start'. This is a non-reversible process so make sure this is what you truly wanted to do in the first place.
#6
Once the process is completed, take the memory card out and insert it into your Digital Camera or any other device. Try to browse to it to make sure it works fine now.

ALL I GET IS A FORMAT ERROR MESSAGE
Alright so what does the message say exactly? If it's asking for a certain type of format, upload your music onto an online converter and convert it to the format the player asks.
