Fault at its main digital board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary. Before going further; try a hard reset first. If it does not help you, replace the main digital board. There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; visit the site linked here. Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device; in the "Search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get gathered related posts.

ViewSonic N3252W LCD TV went pop and completely died. No power whatsoever. Not even the red light indicator that is always on as long as its plugged in.

The main power regulator board [SMPS board] has damaged. It should be replaced. Normally there is no repair to these boards. Only card base replacement is done. Check this to know more.

Need to find the remote control for my ViewSonic

I can't find a Viewsonic N3235W3M. However the N3235W and the N3235W-M use the RC00136P remote. This remote is available from several sites: http://www.electronicadventure.us/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=A-00008148&Category_Code=VRC2 and http://www.remotecontrolscenter.com/viewsonic/a-00008148.html . A replacement remote is available from remotes.com here: http://remotes.com/store/viewsonic/n3235w.html .

I hope this helps.

Put the tv on, green

Check the power supply module first for any sign of bad caps with bulging/leaking tops, check to see if it has standby 5vdc voltage.

I have a ViewSonic N3251w and the set will not

Hello

When replacing power supply section of LCD TVs must be done very carefully. First of all, LCD screens are more sensitve to static voltages and can damged easly. Damage usually occurs to the scree will be visible after the repair, and is irreparable. 2/3rd of the total cost of the TV comes to its LCD screen and replacing it will be very difficult too. From your post, I understand that video ADC [Analogue to Digital Converter] has shorted components in it. If any short on the sub circuit occur, system control section inside your TV will detect it and will shut down the entire system, and that is happens now. As the set responds to remote signals, there is 5VDC supply line is OK. This 5VDC is used for the working of sensor circuit also. We must first detect what and where the short circuit is. Sometimes it may be due to leaky capacitor or to a dhorted ADC IC, I described earlier. Waht ever it may be, sufficiant testing instruments, and a great skill is needed for this work. The modt one needed is patience and concentration. LCD TVs are the product of most modern electronic development and have most modern tecnique in it. Most of the boards in it are irreparable, and can be replaced as cards. So we must be certian about whjich card have the fault and to be replaced. Replacing power supply board [card] should be done very caregully and after replacement, it won't work for the first time as you think. there are some service mode adjustments in it. You must have static free enviornment and DC soldering iron, and top and good quality digital multimeter which can measure frequency up to 18MHz at least.
If you have these circustances, inform me, I'm rady to assist you. If not get it repaired by any well experienced service technician whom you trust. If you do anything with power supply of the TV, there is a chance of screen burn, that is some part of the LCD screen will go discolured, or will be black patches in it when you power it on, and that part of the secreen is damaged permanantly. Take a decision and inform me. Feel free to get me through /fixya. Ok

Hi. My TV still has

The high pitched noise is coming from the transformers on the power source board of the TV : they are vibrating violently because the entire source is put under severe stress by another component which has failed and now it's acting like a short.
To find out which is the part that failed you will have to open the tv and test the voltages on the output lines on the power source - the one that is significantly lower than normal will point you to the failed part. In your case the most likely one is one of the transistors or high tension capacitors from the inverter board. This requires at least a basic electronics experience, if you don't have it then call someone who has it.
In the mean time unplug the tv from the mains immediately or the power source will fail under the stress and the repair will become way more complicated and expensive.

The TV won't turn on anymore. It gets power but

First check the voltages on the power supply. That is the most common problem with ViewSonic in this case. If all the voltages are there and capacitor and diodes all look good, then it would be the main board.

When you replaced the power supply, did you get an excact replacement? was it used or new? These sets have a very bad reputation for the power supply boards, seems like the capacitors seem to fail quite often. Good new is only the capacitors need replaced not the whole board on these. If a capacitor looks like it has a domed or mushroomed top then it is probably bad, they should be flat. Check these and let me know if you notice anything like I mentioned.
Check to see if you do have 12vdc from the power supply and atthe T-CON board's fuse. Worst case would be the LCD panel
