How do u release seat from base

Good Evening

At the front of the base unit (nearest to the edge of the vehicle seat) there is a large grey release clip. Pull this clip forward (toward the front of the vehicle) and lift the carseat away from the base. Ensure that you lift the carseat completely away before letting go of the release clip as otherwise it may not release fully and the carseat will still be partly attached.

I need to clean fabric does it come away from seat

Good Evening

The fabric on all Maxi Cosi carseats can be removed for cleaning purposes.

Instructions for removing the fabric can be found in your user manual. If you no longer have your user manual you can download another copy at www.maxi-cosi.com Select the CabrioFix carseat as your model and you will see a tab over the image to download a copy of the manual it has a step by step guide in here for how to remove the fabrics to clean them.

It is recommended that fabrics are sponge washed by hand and dried naturally. Use a mild detergent suitable for hand washing and ensure it is thoroughly rinsed. To prevent discolouration of the fabric do not leave it to dry in direct sunlight. The fabric should not be tumble dried as this may cause unsightly bobbling.

Broke the push down button to release the seat

Good Evening

The button itself is not an item which can be replaced; to replace this release button you need to replace the entire harness system. For safety reasons this must be done by our qualified engineers.

If the carseat is under 2 years old please return to your retailer with your proof of purchase and ask them to make arrangements for this repair. Following the repair (in this instance, a replacement harness fitted) the carseat will have full safety checks before being returned.

If the carseat is over 2 years old or you do not have your proof of purchase please contact our customer service department on 01284 413141 (Mon - Fri, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm) to book it in for chargeable repair. Standard charge is £50 and this includes courier delivery of the carseat back to your address. In addition to this you will need to make arrangements and cover costs for courier delivery of the carseat into the engineers.

Good Evening

The red button is not something available as a spare part that can be sent out for customers to replace themselves due to the safety implications of it being incorrectly fitted; to replace this button the carseat needs a new harness, which must be fitted by our engineers. If your carseat is under 2 years old this is still covered by the warranty, please return the carseat to your retailer with your proof of purchase and they will make arrangements for it to be sent to our engineers for full inspection and any repair work required (in this instance, a replacement harness will be fitted). After full safety checks the carseat will be sent back. Alternatively if the carseat is over 2 years old or you do not have your proof of purchase please contact our customer service department on 01284 413141 (Mon - Fri, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm) and the standard charge for repair is £50 which includes courier delivery of the carseat back to your address; in addition to this you would need to make arrangements and cover costs for the carseat to be sent to the engineers. Hope this helps! Thanks :)

Found this solution on this website, and works great!

What seems to be a sewn-up loop, is actually easy to unattach, but the trick is not explained in the manual.

Where the end of the strap seems to be holding to the seat's plastic shell, the plastic is not completely connected, there is a break in the plastic. Just move the strap left/right a bit and you will see that you can unattach it there. Then you can unthread the loose end of the strap and completely remove the cover.

Hi,how do i remove the cover of the maxicosi

just need to work your way round it. it's fastened in places by loops on the cover and hooks on the seat plastic, all quite stable, just go easy and see where it's fixed and how. big tip is you need the handle in an upright position. I just took mine off tonight and it took about 10-15 minutes but got there in the end.
The hardest part to figure was getting the central bottom strap through the cover - at first glance it appeared to be stuck.but if you have the seat facing you and just underneath at the front, the belt finishes, and at the end of the belt it is looped over two 'prongy' things in the seat so you just need to work that from side to side to slip it off, and you can then thread it through the hole in the seat cover.

How can i take off the sun protector on maxi cosi

easy - there are two sort of slide slot things - basically it's a cord on the protector and then a plastic slot in the actual seat so it needs to come out of there. should be able to give a little tug and see what's happening and how it works. big tip is to slide the plastic bit back as far as poss (with that little button thing at the back, then pulling up - it gives a fair bit). also keep the handle as upright as poss. hope this helps

Hi taken apart my daughters maxi cosi to wash the

oops I've just taken mine off tonight to wash it and worried the same thing may happen so will try and explain in reverse order to help you, and hopefully me if i get stuck.- first things first - have the handle in the most upright position for all of this, it allows the easiest access for all of these tho was a bit obstructive too. then start with the centre strap that comes up - it's attached by a loop and needs to be threaded through the hole in the cover, then replace that end over the 2 'fork like' things that come out.. then there are loops around the 'pivoty handle change section' they are the obvious ones. Then if you can press the little button where the hood goes at the top of the car seat and extend the black plastic bit out as far as possible, it'll make for easier viewing of the hooks for the loops to go on. Some of them were very awkward to get off so i'm dreading getting them back on, i think there are 4, mine's currently drying in the bathroom and i'm being lazy. i think i took off the central ones last so try and replace those first, then there are 2 more nearer the top i believe. a lot of it will probably depend on the order you do it as to how easy it is to stretch them on.
i took the hood off also which i haven't yet washed, but again, you need to slide the plastic bit as far back as it will go to make it easier, then thread the material in and fasten the sets of hoops -these were weirder to do, you have to kind of slot and slide them in, they aren't loops as such. but they are all well located to each other so it shouldn't be hard to figure out.
good luck!

Removing seat cover maxi cosi priorifix

To be able to remove the seat cover from your seat you have to 'unhook' the seat belts at the back of the seat:
First extend the seat belt to the maximum length.
Then put the seat at the maximum recline.
At the back of the seat-'shell' you will then see a metal hook that hold the shoulder straps: unhook and pull forward.

Reassembly is just the reverse.

A few more tips when removing the cover from a PrioriFix: take care not to damage the white extruded foam when pulling the belts forward and when taking off the cover. When the foam is not protected by the padding it may easily snap.

The seat padding is cold wash only and no spin-dry, otherwise the seams may loosen.

Please don't hesitate to use the contact form at http://www.babycare.nl if you need any further assistance.
