Yikes, that is very bad news indeed. It is the PDP of the unit (the whole display) that has gone bad. It is replaceable but a new one costs more than a replacement TV...
I'm so sorry about that, but you are in trouble here with this unit... If you happened to purchase the TV with a major credit card (not a debit card) there is a good chance it may still be under the free extended warranty most credit cards place on electronics. Please contact your credit card company to inquire if they do this, and they will be able to file the claim and get you a refund for the TV.
You can get a replacement TV that is much better quality for only $650 ~ and free shipping no tax, for example this one on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0036VO70Y?ie=UTF8&tag=dependascient-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B0036VO70Y
The repair of this tv will unfortunately cost more than a new one.. check into the credit card option, I have successfully received refunds from American Express for example on 4 year old tv's, $2500+...
Thanks

Samsung Model HP-T4254X/XAA. Tv came in dead.
I assume that you have checked the Y and Z -sus boards and they are ok. Yes most likely the panel itself is dead, but its possible that the ribbon connectors to the panel are faulty.
Keeps clicking but no picture
the blinking light signifies to a repair technician with capacitors or circuits are having an issue they can diagnose the problem via the amount of blinks in between pauses however it will require a technician and some specific tools and schematics to fix and it may be cheaper if its no longer under warranty to purchase a new one
Hope this helped

42"plasa. tv turns on, audio
Can you describe the lines better. Color, number of lines, thickness of lines, area of screen the lines are on, etc. Also, just to confirm that it is a Samsung Plasma tv?
Thank you.
Benjamin
No images on my TV screen just sounds since yesterday
Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. To start with unplug the unit and take the back off then check the Y-main and buffer boards for any bulged/swollen components. Also check the controller board which is the board located next to the power supply unit. As there is no picture so it can only be an issue with one of these boards or a component that has gone bad. All this is only recommended if you have electrical expertise and/or know how to solder/re-solder components as these units contain high voltages even when switched off. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.
Thanks

HP-T4254 samsung TV turns itself off and on
Try this step before purchasing power supply. I have serviced this tv before. Lay it flat plug it in and it should turn on,but once you sit it up straight it will turn off. I think there are faulty fairchild mosfet transistors or a firmware issue. I put a 1 inch thick book under the stand so it tilts up or down. I have not had a call from any customer since.
Tv not playing
It is going into a safety shutdown either because of a board, panel malfunction,or maybe just the power supply not coming up fast enough. If the small capacitors in the power supply are the problem....may be an easy fix....otherwise checks need to made within. if you are tech nical,I can guide you to sove yourself, other wise a repair shop may repair for $200 to $300
Turns off after about 30 seconds and starts
What you have wrong with your tv is in the power supply board, it is a very common problem which you can fix yourself for around $30 this is a MAJOR Samsung problem and thousands of people are having this problem. What you need to do is deenergize your tv and lay it face down on a table so you can work on it. Use a philips screwdriver to remove all the screws on the back cover of the tv make sure to remember where they go for when you put it back together. Remove the back cover and follow the two wired from where your tv power cord comes in and in the middle of your tv they will plug into a board, this is your power supply board. Look for blown capacitors, also check the fuses the tops will be bulging upward and caps have writing on them like 10v 1000uf or 2200 uf and 3300uf are the most common. What you will need to do is replace these with a 16v cap but be sure the uf number is the same, and you need 105 degree rated caps. There is also a negative side to the capacitor which is marked with a stripe and a shorter leg on the bottom, these have to go in the same way or you will blow the board, remove the board with screwdriver and disconnect all wires, now you will need your tools solder, soldering iron, and preferably a solder ****** to remove the old bad caps here is a youtube link that shows u step by step just go there and type samsung power supply repair, and whether you have a vizio, philips or another model that this is posted on they all have samsung power supplies in them so if you are having power problems this is your fix, you should be able to get all your parts at radio shack or on the web. Thank you and votes are welcome and if you cant find the parts get to me and I can help you get them
