Black screen
If it does the same when attached to another PC, then please read below.
If you are going to DIY and already try the monitor with another PC, and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on:
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

My n71s monitor has recently come up with
peter_chadwi, You forgot to mention date of manufacture from the rear cover of monitor??? If unit is out of warranty period you or qualified technician will need to investigate the units switch-mode-power-supply for proper dc voltage output. +5 v or 3.3 v and +12v Whenever strange or weird things start to occur with a cold-cathode-fluorescent-lamp back-lit lcd monitor, I would suspect the culprit to be the SMPS/inverter circuit. Hyundai lcd units have 3 year warranty. Verify that monitor does same at different "known-good" pc!! If unit still has inaccessible "menu" then start warranty service processing. Don't let Hyundai off the hook!

Hyundai n71s with the screen always white, the menu buttons do no
First of all, the screen glows white means that the inverter circuits are working and the power supply for the inverter is OK (12~18VDC is used for the inverter circuits), 5vdc for logic is more likely to be OK since you can turn it on or off. There isno way any peson can tell for sure hat it is not blown fuse or bad transistor unless he can actually make some voltage testing first. Do you have test equipment and basic knowledge of electronics? Picture will help. You can also see what usually goes bad in the monitors,

Hello my n71s has been lit white screen and no
The screen has white glow and no images means that the LCD controller board (part of the LCD panel) is not getting the 5vdc power feeding it from the logic board through the ribbon cable, it is either the cable came lose or dirty contacts, or failed 5V switching transistor for the LCD controller is bad, or blown fuse on the LCD controller board. See pictures here:

Look at the LCD panel album.

Hyundai n71s monitor
This monitor is sensing information from your computer regarding the configuration. The computer is trying to do the same thing. First, boot the computer in safe mode. This will set the output of the computer to VGA specs. The monitor should work with this spec. If not, then check your connections and try to reset the monitor to factory specs.
This monitor has only a limited number of resolutions and refresh frequencies that it supports. Be sure that your computer is configured to one of these standards.
Beyond that, try on another system, if possible. If it works there, it could be your video card is not compatible with the monitor/monitor not compatible with video card. I had someone give me one of these and it works perfectly. I tried other resolutions and the problem with it shutting down shows up.
Solution: run 1024 x 768 at first, then try to switch to 1280 x 1024.

MONITOR SHUTS DOWN : WILL
purchasin757, What type monitor? If lcd type, may have 1 cold solder joint of some component lead on the "switch-mode-power-supply / inverter ballast circuit board, that goes "open" (intermittant) after it reaches a certain unspecified temperature/time period. Unit will need to be investigated by you or electronics technician to find common problem related to all brands of CCFL back-lit LCD monitors. How old did yu say your unit is??? May be that it also need some new electrolytic filter capacitors to be installed on the SMPS/ inverter board to make it servicable for 2 to 4 more years. Lots of video clips you should investigate at YOUTUBE before you return to fixya to do a customer reply and rating of this response to your post. You will also want to do a lot of readng in the fixya profiles of "budmrtn" "12fixlouie" for more info on this (your "black screen of death" symptom) common problem that affects not hundreds, but many thousands of lcd monitors. Let us know what you will do, after you research problem. 12fixlouie

Have you actually purchased Visio, or are you just trying to get it for free?
As a software guy, I would have to advise against piracy. :)
There are several ways to get Visio for cheap. If you are a student, there are discounted versions available online and in stores. Also, you can check with your school for even cheaper options sometimes. Try the university bookstore if available. Or a Computer Science department maybe.
If you are working, and your company uses MS Office applications, find out if they have the "Microsoft at Home" program. You can get MS Office applications for really cheap that way. I can get Visio through my company's "Microsoft at Home" program for a few dollars.
My Employer Says They Are Going To Cut My Wages. Can They?
If you are in the middle of a contract, then cutting your wages is almost certainly a violation of your employment law rights. While I am by no means an expert on this matter, I did have a similar issue years ago - mid-contract wage cuts - and I hired an
employment attorney to fight the case on my behalf. It turned out that my employer was basically looking to scare people into taking the wage cut.
They got into some pretty serious legal trouble for their transgression, and nothing happened to me in terms of wage cuts after that. If you are between contracts, your employer can re-negotiate your salary, but as far as I am aware, if you are in an agreed-upon contract, they cannot just decide to reduce your salary. If you want to settle matters, contest this action with support from a legal professional.
