check the fuser or drum with out seeing the copies its hard to tell for sure

please replace cartridge chip

there is a blue mark on the right side of the fuser simply pull it towards you and that should allow you to see the rollers and remove paper if not its four screws and three connectors to remove the whole fuser

you are overcomplicating it... all you need is a compact flash card big enough for the firmware... then you upload the firmware to the card and stick the card into the printer... but first power down printer and plug it out and then turn it on and follow the display... it will prompt you

then press menu... arrow down to memory card
press forward arrow
you will see format
press enter
you will see processing
when its finished
you will see ready...
turn off machine... unplug it...
pull out compact flash
plug machine in
turn it on...

the **** for the compac flash is on the right hand side at the bottom by the ventillation opening...

Idea: You can look up the failure codes online in the Kyocera website. Just download the maintenence manual.

You need to reset the toner counter. This is done through the Menu button and selecting Life Counters. The instructions on how to do this are found in the Advanced Operators Guide on page 2-75. The link below will take you to the manufacture's website where you can download it.

Resetting the Toner Counter

The toner containers must be replaced when the printer displays the Low toner or Replace toner message which will be given depending on the color of toner. The Low toner message will be shown as a pre-warning that the toner is running out and the printer will soon stop, at that time showing Replace toner. If you replace the toner container before Replace toner is displayed, you must manually reset the toner counter as explained below. Note that if you reset the toner counter before the toner container is replaced, the subsequent toner warnings will not be indicated correctly.

I think that you have used the lens cleaner and then have not pushed it all the way back in.

It looks your waste toner box is full. Waste toner box collects toner drawn during printing. You have to remove waste toner bottle and empty it.

you need to scroll thru your menus...paper handling section...make sure mp tray is set to FIRST..that way it will pull from the mp tray untill it is empty than switch to your cassette

there are a good few possibilities... your cheapest route is to call a local service tech... anything I tell you is going to cost you more... call him and see what he says... but I am leaning towards bad ram best case and worst case a blown main board... check the paper size settings.if you are using custom paper sizes, you have to specify the sizes on the printer, otherwise it will think that it has a standard paper size
