Polaroid 3211 tlxb 32inch Not powering on (No Red/Blue light illuminating)

Check and replace its main power regulator as card basis. It comes at the center top part of the panel, looking from backside. You must ahve enough knowledge in electronics to do this work. There is no repair to this board, as the components used in the circuit will be very difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. Check this site. You'll get an idea about its working and other details. Visit the site named 'Electro-help' for more details. Click this link. View it in "Timeslide" or "Flipcard" option, which can be selected from the drop down box menu by the [Sidebar] tag, at the top left corner of the display window. You can also click the [Home] tab to the latest updates. It will make search easy. There are more than 1300 posts to different brand TVs now. Pull up older posts there.

Polaroid 32

Polaroid is the other non-brand name products, made in a limited quantities and used well known logos as a bait for consumers. Those are: "element", "mag', "magnavox", and polaroid itself. the only one advantage of early "polaroid" is: display panel has been made by real Polaroid, then. what made the picture quality outstanding, compare to other "bunch". even though they use similar hardware and design. Many real Polaroids were junked few years ago, due to inability to get any product support: i.e. hardware for a reasonable price. that's why you have got into the problem: there is NO support for the product, not even "factory exchange only"! That's what we, the Repair Men, find at the 'parts distributors". Those must be sitting on direct payroll from People's Republic. They trying to price replacement parts well above the cost of new unit. Example: 52" Sharp LCD panel cost: $2,695.00 plus s&h! and that's for 5 years+ set! Make up your mind about 'support" and start to repair your set. In most cases it will be very reasonable, especially if your set was your 'baby". don't try to replace it now: closer to the date, TVs are becoming more and more "toys"! Built to break! how would you support growing economy and wealth of those "people's republics'? By robbing yourself of the daily pleasures! good luck in your discovery, thanks,Alex.

Polaroid 3211-tlxb have power and sound but no picture. It did smell like smoke. Any recommendations? Unit is 2 years old.

If you can see a picture (dim and low contrast) when you shine a light on the screen from an angle, your backlight inverter may have a burned-out part. After this test, whichever result you get, unplug the set and use your eyes and nose to search for overheated parts. I have found connectors that overheated because of a poor-quality solder connection on the circuit board. Note that parts, particularly resistors, can overheat because of a fault in another part.It is common for solder connections to deteriorate if they are frequently run at high temperatures. Sometimes circuit boards "normally" turn brown from heat because of marginal thermal design. Check the solder connections on components in the hot areas.Static electricity precaution: most digital electronics are easily damaged by static electricity discharge. Avoid touching the metal parts of the circuitry unless you first touch the metal frame of the set to discharge any voltage buildup on your body.

No Picture sound only Polaroid 3211-TLXB

Hi,

First connect the TV to a DVD player using a different cord. If there is still no display, then it means fault is from your inverter board.

From the description of your symptoms, your inverter board has failed, a way to verify this is when it goes black, in a dark or dim room, shine a flashlight into the screen, and see if you see faint images in the light. If so, the inverter has failed and needs to be replaced. The inverter board is what controls the backlighting. A replacement inverter board runs about $180, plus around $100 for labor. How do I set my

You don't set your tv to 1080. You set whatever you are connecting to your television to 1080. Let's say it is a cable box or blu ray player. You would need to be connecting it to your television with an hdmi or component cable. Connect it only once to the television with an hdmi or component cable. This may sound ridiculous but there are people that have their devices connected to the television three times with three different types of cables (hdmi, component, composite) instead of just one. Make sure the television is on the proper input. Adjust the video output settings to reflect 1080 i or p if possible resolution.

hi there, this may helps you a bit. Try to unscrew the back casing. visual check the power supply section. If you notice some electrolytic capacitors are bulgy or bloated, it needs to be replaced with same value and type. Felt the power transistors which one really heats up. Over heating of electronic components or part do affects the pictures. this also need to be replace. doing preventive repairs can extend the lifespan of your TV.
Adding exhaust fan may also lessen the heat builds up on the board. Proper ventilation also helps in the performance of the TV. If this do went well maintain the fan.
