You mentioned that your TV is not recognizing the DISH Network signal, since wedo not know how many TV's your receiver is able to support, or whether it's theTV1 or TV2 having the issue I will address them both.

The first thing we want to do is ensure that all connected components arepowered on (VCR, DVD Player, etc.). Check what channel or input your TV iscurrently on by powering the TV off then back on and noting the channel orinput that appears on screen when the TV is powered on.

If TV1:

Check what type of cable is used to connect the TV to the receiver. If you areusing a Coax Cable to connect the receiver to TV1, check the receiver'sback panel for the output name. If your receiver has a "TV CH 3/4Out" (non-ViP Receiver): Tune TV to channel 3 or channel 4,if it has "Home Distribution" output (ViP Receiver): Tune TVto channel 62 or 75. If using non-Coax (RCA, Component, orHDMI) to connect receiver to TV1, cycle through the inputs until pictureappears; most TVs have a "TV/Video", "Input", or"Source" button. If the issue persists, check that theconnections between your DISH receiver and your TV are secure then reset thereceiver by unplugging it from the outlet for 10 seconds then plugging it backin. If not fixed then connect another component (VCR, DVD Player, etc.) to thesame TV, using same cable, same input, and same channel to see if it works. Ifit works with the other component then call us at 1-800-333-DISH (3474) foradditional troubleshooting, if it still doesn't work with the other componentthen the cable should be replaced.

If TV2:

Access "Modulator Setup" from TV1 by pressing the menu button(on the top left of DISH remote) then pressing the numbers 6-1-5. Tune TV2 tothe channel that appears under "TV2 Out" on screen. If stillno picture, verify the mode (air or cable) that TV2 is on. Then change themodulator setup to match this mode (air or cable). After changing modulatorsetup, tune TV2 to the channel that appears under "TV2 Out" onscreen. Check that the connections between your DISH receiver and your TV aresecure then reset the receiver by unplugging it from the outlet for 10 secondsthen plugging it back in. If not fixed then connect another component (VCR, DVDPlayer, etc.) to the same TV, using same cable, same input, and same channel tosee if it works. If it works with the other component then call us at1-800-333-DISH (3474) for additional troubleshooting, if it still doesn't workwith the other component then the cable should be replaced.

usually cheaper to replace it as likely it is bad optical unit in DVD player.

this is down to the inverter back light driver shutting down due to a fault on the inverter board. Common faults on lcd monitors / tvs where the capacitors dry up causing voltage abnormalities .

After switch ON the TV, and after picture has displayed on the screen with 'closed Caption" window, just press button "CC" on your remote control. For each press, the close caption window will vanish and disappear. OK.

First diconect the wee consoule. Doubel check all your conections to the tv. Make sure everything is hooked up were it should be. When you are sure everyhing is were it should be turn the tv on. if no tv press the source/input button on tv or remote. If there is nothing seriously wrong you should get you tv back. Sorry this was the best i could come up with

First try a new power cord for the TV. If that doesn't solve the problem, the power supply has failed. (Possibly one or more capacitors on the power supply board have failed. Alternatively, a fuse, zener diode or resistor that works as a fuse has failed) You will need to open the tv and inspect the power supply. Westinghouse TVs use a number of different boards. If you want to replace the entire power supply, you will need to note that exact part number on the label. ShopJimmy has refurbished and used power supplies for this model: http://www.shopjimmy.com/westinghouse-sk-32h240s . The used ones are from TVs that were damaged in shipping and thus have minimal use. http://www.partstore.com/Model/Westinghouse+Digital+Electroni/Westinghouse+Digital/SK32H240S/Other+Remotes.aspx also has replacement parts.

I would start with your power supply. If you took a surge it is possible that you only blew a fuse. If it is a blown fuse, make sure you only use the same type fuse.

This about a different issue, but has good pics. See my posts at the end. The LVDS ribbon cable is even easier to get to then the LCD controller ribbons. Take off the stand, and back cover. Take off metal 'cage' on back, the ribbon underneath can become dirty or loose. Untape the cable, unclip and remove it. Rub it clean with an eraser. Replace and re-affix with some metal foil tape or other heat resistant tape from the hardware store.

What ever you have hooked to it may have a ground fault. I would replace the cables Iam using first or try a device that you know works good somewhere else and if it does the same thing it is the tv or the cables

The SK-32H240S has two sets of mounting holes 75mm x 75mm VESA or 100mm x 100mm VESA mounts.

Hi boyd383,
If you've confirmed that the signal reception is not the problem, this symptoms indicated that the tuner of the tv is already faulty. It has a low/high/ultra high frequency that generate and process the signal received from the source to view the channel. One or two of the frequencies is/are already not functioning that's why the unit didn't get all of the channels...
Tuner is in the mainboard of your unit where the cable/antenna wire is hooked up. You may take it apart and disolder the tuner. Replace it with new one and your unit will back to normal again.
If you don't have necessary tools and test instruments and can't troubleshoot the unit yourself, I would advice you to look for an experienced tv technician to isolate the problem.
Also, check if your unit is under extended warranty period, avail it because the manufacturer will fix it for free, don't attempt to open the back cover it will void the warranty.

Hello Olga, this problem is normally caused by something on the power/inverter board (normally a transformer or a capacitor). If you are technical you can open up the TV and see what component is bad, you can normally tell because the component will leak or in the capacitors case be puffy. If you are not that technical you can also open the unit and simply pull all the plugs from the power/inverter board (big brown board on the left hand side when TV is facing down), take off all the screws, and replace the whole board. I can assist you with obtaining part #'s for this board if you would like just simply send me an email with the model #, serial # and TW # all located on the back of the TV as well as a brief explanation of what the TV is doing to westytech@westinghousedigital.com.
