Main board is bad what cause this to happen? only
Is the LED light purple ?
Nearly all TVs are made in 3rd world countries using the
cheapest labor possible with the c
heapest parts,
minimal quality control,
non robust design, and
no tests for long term durability.
If you have
definitely determined that the main board is bad, someone
knowledgeable in
electronics can replace it. You can get one from the places like
Ebay on the '
net.
I found a "
pulled" one for about $123 at
http://www.shopjimmy.com/tvrepairshops.cfm but you may do better if you look.
I have only read bad things about this model. Here are some of the things I have come across. Try this first. With the
TV on,
unplug it,
wait a few seconds an plug it
back in. You may also turn off the
energy saving mode.
Flat screen goes into what appears to be high
The video processor is having some issues. This is not likely an LCD Panel problem.
Since it is after 5 minutes it is probably cold solder. My guess is the video processor will be a fairly large IC with a big Heat Sink on top (or some other cooling method)

Beyond that the problem could be one of four problems;
1) Bad cable connection to inverter board. Make sure all cables are firmly seated.
2) Inverter board is bad.
3) Power to inverter board is bad.
4) CCFT(cold cathode fluoresent light) has problems.
My 2008 32 inch has no picture...boots up ''w'' symbol then no pic.
One simple thing you can do is to Just hit the set with your hand nicely to find out if there is a bad connection inside the unit. This is the first thing I would do if I was to come over to fix it. Now with that said try hitting the back panel and the top and sides etc hard but not hard to break anything phsically. It might just be a bad solder connection inside that can be fixed rather cheaply.
Hope this helps and ask more if you need me
32" no picture but sound ok.
just bring the unit into service tech near you . . . . . thats a huge troubleshoot that take an hour to repair........
Looking for part for Westinghouse TV
Partstore.com seems to have the part in stock. But, they don't describe if it's black or a different color.
It runs for $94.95 and their part# is 60.3YQ08.003
You may want to call them up to see if it's black.

Can't progam my direct tv remote to operate my westinghouse 32''tv
I don't have DTV anymore, so I don't remember the exact code I used for my SK-32H240S, However, I do remember that I found one that worked at
this site. Scroll down to locate your remote series # - it most likely will be printed on the upper left corner of the front of the remote - as an example, mine says RC64. Click on the corresponding listing, then follow the directions on the site. I tried only a few codes before finding one that worked correctly. Good luck.
BROKEN SCREEN
You can find one on the 'net but it will not be cost effective.
You will be better off selling your set for parts and buying a new set. The LCD is the major cost of a set and when it goes, it's not worth replacing. Warrantees generally do not cover breakage either.
Can I get codes that can reset my old Westinghouse smart tv
Yes, you can reset your old Westinghouse smart TV by using reset codes. The specific code you need may vary depending on the model of your TV. Here are some general steps you can follow to reset your Westinghouse smart TV using reset codes:
- Press the power button on your TV to turn it on.
- Using your TV remote, press the "Menu" button and navigate to the "Setup" or "Settings" menu.
- Look for the "Reset" option and select it.
- Enter the reset code for your TV when prompted. The reset code may be a sequence of numbers or a combination of buttons on the remote control.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the reset process.
If you don't know the reset code for your Westinghouse smart TV, you can usually find it in the user manual or by contacting Westinghouse customer support. Keep in mind that resetting your TV will erase all custom settings and restore the TV to its factory default settings
Backlights on Westinghouse WD50UC4300 TV flash and then go out.
It's possible that there is a problem with the protection circuit, especially if the backlights are receiving the correct voltage but are still not functioning properly. You could try checking the fuses or diodes on the circuit board that are responsible for protecting the backlights. It's also possible that there is a problem with the power supply or the main board that is causing the issue. If you're not comfortable working with electronics, it may be best to consult a professional for assistance.
Westinghouse WD55UW4620 no picture
Before you replace the power board, there are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue with your Westinghouse WD55UW4620 TV:
- Adjust the picture settings: It's possible that the picture settings on your TV have been accidentally adjusted, resulting in a dark picture. Try going into the TV's menu and adjusting the brightness, contrast, and other picture settings to see if that helps.
- Check the backlight: The backlight is responsible for illuminating the pixels on your TV screen, and if it's not working properly, it can result in a dark or dim picture. You can check the backlight by shining a flashlight on the screen and seeing if you can make out any images. If you can see images, then the backlight is likely the issue.
- Check the cables: Make sure that all the cables connecting your TV to external devices are securely plugged in and not damaged.
If none of these troubleshooting steps work, then it's possible that the power board is the issue. In that case, replacing the power board may fix the problem.
Pass code for channel search on a Westinghouse tv model VR 4090
Hi,
pass code's are typically setup by the user that sets up the tv. So, you could start my talking with that person first. If that person is not available, then you might need to factory reset your tv and setup it up again, provide the code to the tv and then write the code down (or email it to yourself) so you'll have it for future reference if you need it.
Thank you.
