If the picture goes bad after about 15~30 minutes, then more likely to be bad LCD controller bd. See sample of the failed LTV-32W3HD here: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/LTV-32W3HD/

You can try running the TV with the back open with a small fan blowing in the back to keep it cool just to verify that it is heat related.

Power supply problem

Westinghouse... | Answered on Oct 07, 2012

This is not uncommon for the type of supply used in modern sets called a 'switched mode power supply.'One of the failure modes is an audible squeal. These operate normally way above the range of our hearing but is getting sick, they holler at lower frequencies. This kind of marginal operation is a harbinger of complete failure of the main power supply often due to a part called an electrolytic (chemical) capacitor that is nearing death. These parts cost a few pennies and should have cost a few more to insure quality but most companies couldn't care less since they will generally outlive the warranty period.

If your TV has an On-screen Menu you should be able to access your Tuner controls. Run your auto channel scan and you should pick up your "regular channels". You may be able to de-select the odd channels and show only the ones you want to use.

not on a surge protector is it? could be tripped....if not, it should have been. some have a built in breaker, unplug it for a couple of minutes and plug it in and try it.

In sounds like the tuner might be going out, try to use the RCA, input connectors.

It can be the main board is bad and not sending the signal to turn on the rest of the power supplies, or the power supply is bad and not supplying the correct voltages to the main board, so you need to inspect the two boards.
