Hi
A common problem with modern power supplies is dryed /burnt out
capacitors in the power supply, This pulls down the voltage and shuts down the
tv. Remove the back cover of the tv and have a look at the power supply board to find the capacitors .
You are suggested to replace the capacitors.
Please get back to us if you have further query or else please
accept the solution.

It appears the bad capacitor are a common problem with these pwr boards.Could not find any at local part stores in my town. Went online and found the complete board. Price 180.00 . If you open up the back the board sits in the middle of the set , part # 6709900020A or replacement # EAY32957901.

Check your cables to make sure they are all securely plugged in. If they are, try using different cables in case the cable shorted and needs to be replaced. If this doesn't help, its more likely an internal issue in the circuit board and you should contact LG and speak with their customer support on the issue.
When i press the power button on my tv it
Defective power board. Three options.

Make sure that the audio output is present in the RCA terminals to which you have plugged in the remote main unit. The power to this unit also must be in order so that it is transmitting from the main unit.
Check the rca output with an amplifier to confirm , if there is audio then the remote headphone must mesh up to the main unit to receive the audio. Please make sure the frequency is also selected and locked in, if this is correct and the unit is not locking it can a fault in the unit which must be opened out to be checked.

Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. As you have already
replaced the Z-sus and the main logic board then the issue seems to be with the
Y-main and/or Y-sus board. You’ll need to take the back off and check for any
blown/bulged capacitors that might have gone bad and causing this issue. Please
do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further
assistance.
Thanks

I have had my lg flat screen for two years and now
Most likely, you have a problem with the power supply. The capacitors on the power supply sometimes burn out. A fairly cheap fix. If it's under warranty, take it in and get it fixed.. if it's not, then someone who is tech savvy can do it for you. I fixed mine and the parts were less than 3 bucks plus shipping of less than 10. I can do soldering work myself so it only cost me 13 bucks.
Picture is starting to flicker, then it will turn
The buffer boards are most likely bad at this point. With my Philips TV, the heat of the Plasma caused mine to go bad.. and the connectors from the buffer boards to the Y buffer control weren't tight. I took the TV apart and tightened the connections and it works fine now. If it's warranty take it in and get it fixed. If the TV is out of warranty, you can fix it yourself or get someone who is tech savvy to do it. There are plenty of guides on the Internet to do it. Worse case is you have to purchase new buffer boards. In some cases, depending on the TV, it's not worth the time money to fix... but with a 50" unit... I would try. There are also plenty of guys like me out there that might buy it from you and fix and sell it.

Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. A plasma TV is a very hard working device. It is working harder than any TV that has been built before, and as a result it produces a lot of heat. 75% of technical problems in plasma TV's are caused by overheating problems. You’ll need to check the power supply board first for any swollen/bulged capacitors. As power supply board is the hardest working board in a plasma TV, it develops voltage to supply all components, high current + high voltage. All this is only recommended if you have electrical expertise & know how to solder/re-solder components as these units contain high voltages even when switched off. These kinds of issues in plasmas usually occur after 3-4years. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.
Thanks

Check the video final circuits, and the high tension powering them. If they are fine then the problem is in the image processor - the entire board will gonna have to be replaced.
