I just bought a new power cord for my monitor and plugged it into my laptop and when i turn on the monitor it just flashes green and nothing appears on the screen.

Check that screen cable is in on the motherboard or your graphics card,or install graphics card cause on board is blown.

Help desk

Check the directx if it's up-to-date or not. It might be the reason why you are having this issue. Or it could be that there is a driver that you need to update. To make sure that it's not a driver problem, I suggest that you scan your computer with RadarSync. It's a PC driver updater. David

Q19wb Monitor Replacement Part Numbers Needed

Look on eBay for "Optiquest Q19wb repair" or "Optiquest Q19wb power"

This is a common failure mode. You can either buy a set of capacitors and solder them in, or buy a replacement power supply board if you cannot solder.

One eBay seller notes the power board as an ILPI-025, which is common among the following models:

Power Board ILPI-025 For LG W1934S & Viewsonic VG1930WM & Optiquest Q19WB & Acer AL1916W Ab etc

Screen is white

Hello,This type of problem is usually caused by a failure of the power supply board. The power supply puts out 5v and 12v to the electronics. If the power supply 5v side fails then the electronics does not get the right power but the back lights do so you get a white screen and no picture. The audio electronics are powered by a different power output. Here is a link to a repair guide for the Q19w that shows how to dis-assemble the unit and then which capacitors need to be replaced to revive the unit.http://www.ccl-la.com/blog/index.php/how-to-repair-a-optiquest-q19wb-monitor/I hope this helps, if so please rate my solution.BuddyMc

When you get color casting on the screen (Red, Blue, or Green casting), it is either the pin on the video cable are bent or not insert properly, or broken cable inside the video cable, it can also be the video card/jack itself. You need to try this monitor with another PC first to find out where the problem is.

How do I turn on

Hi,

Regarding your concern, just connect the audio cable from the LCD to your computer. The audio cable should also be connected to the audio port found at the back of the LCD.

I hope we fixed it. Thank you for visiting FixYa!

Please help me my optiquest

The usual problem with this symptom is an CCFL power supply failure. The inverter is the board that powers the backlights so you can see what is on the screen. If you look really close and with a flashlight, you may be able to see the dark shadow of the image on the screen. Without the backlight, the LCD is useless.

You can get parts from places like http://www.lcdalternatives.com/ or eBay. Search for the model number and "repair" (e.g. "Optiquest Q19wb repair") on eBay.
