Take Off Sleep Mode
(same response posted in another thread)
The issue is NOT the sleep mode)/
My first solotution was to reinstall the printer as a new printer. But that is uncessary. The fix is as easy as changing the IP address the in Port.
The problem is the the IP address for your wirelss is not static. and when it changes, the printer does not recognize the new IP address. When this occurs. go the the printer folder ( in the control panel) and click on 'add new priter'. Then select 'add a network wirless printer . NO NEED TO INSTALL THE PRINTER...you just want to see the IP address.
Note the IP address.
GO to the printer, click on the right mouse and select 'properties'
Click on Port
You will see the current port already highlighted.
Click on ' configure port' and change the IP address under "printer name or IP address.
Click OK.
Problem solved
Good luck.

The connecting depends on several issues. This cant be said within a few words.
You have to read the manual which explains the very diffrent setting (see chap. fax). You can download the manual here:
www.brother.com (choose your country from landscape, choose your country, choose download&support)
Have a look at the faq, too.
If that doesnt help, plz call brother hotline of your country!

How do I change the
Hi,
Open the printer as though you were going to install new ink cartridges then unplug the printer.
Locate the waste ink absorbers in their black rubber frame. They will be located underneath the area where the ink cartridges rest when the printer is in standby mode.
Use a paper napkin to soak up any excess ink that may be in the pads.
Pull the rubber frame free from the printer, wearing gloves to keep your hands clean. Carefully remove the ink absorber pad or pads from the rubber frame. Now insert new ink absorber pads firmly into the rubber frame. Replace the rubber frame in its original position and close the printer.
Hold down the power button, then plug the printer back in. Continue holding the power button down until the printer begins to reset itself and come online.
Wait for the green power light to turn off, then press and release the power button again. It should blink for two to three seconds, then stay lit; this will indicate that the printer has been reset and is ready to print again without errors.
If this doesn't work for you, please comment and let me know, and I will be more than happy to assist you to further resolve your issue.
I will appreciate your feedback and positive rating.
