Wil not turn on

Put the receiver in the charging cradle. Does the green charging light appear? If it does not, you might just have a defective cradle and hence a completely flat battery; try charging with the car charger and retry. If it doesn't charge with either charger, the power section of the TomTom is obviously gone.

Assuming you now have a charged TomTom, keep the power button pressed for five seconds. If it does not turn on, try resetting it by inserting a paper clip in the RESET hole hidden below the front cover.

If it still does not turn on, it's either a defective power button or a faulty mainboard, and I'm afraid you can't easily fix either; you'll have to send it to maintenance.

Let me know how it goes...

Assuming the maps have been registered for your device.........try resetting the device.

Green light screen wont turn on

Sounds like the battery is dead, have you tried first reseting the device and than charging it?

To reset the device, put the tip of a paper clip into the "Reset" hole in the GPS case. Recharge the unit over night and try to turn it on.

Wehave a tom tom go 530 (refurbished). Its

Let's hope there's nothing wrong with your TomTom. Here's some information that may assist you with your Go 530.

Your TomTom GO must be outside to locate your current position. The first time you start your GO, it can take up to 5 minutes to find your current position.

If it takes longer than 5 minutes, make sure that you are in an open place without tall buildings or trees around you.

In the future, your position will be found much faster, normally within a few seconds.

Once your GO has located your current position, the Driving View is shown in full color and shows your position on the map.

Finding your position faster:

To find your position faster, use the home dock in combination with TomTom HOME on your computer. When connected to the Internet, TomTom HOME
automatically downloads information which helps your GO locate your position faster.

click here to download TomTom Home.

Note: Some vehicles have a heat reflective shield embedded in the windshield that may prevent TomTom GO from locating your current position. If this is a problem in your vehicle, use the TomTom External
Antenna Kit (available as an accessory).

If you found this information helpful, please give me a big thumbs up when you rate my answer. Thanks.

How do i change the language

Ok here go's, I am not sure what screen you have as your home screen, but most people would select the map screen, so assuming you have the map screen on startup Tap the screen to enter the main menu, then on the bottom line of icons you should see a cog icon, this is change preferences click it, now continue to click on the arrow until you arrive at the change languages icon which is expressed by 3 flags
click it and select your language then click yes or ok and exit, if this works keep this safe. Good luck.
