Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T100 Digital Camera - Page 3 Questions & Answers
E:62:11
I had been receiving E62 error in DSC H2 recently purchased. I found
that the internal battery which controls the clock had discharged. So i
allowed the batteries to remain over 24 hours and it became ok. No more
problems. The sony guys shud supply AC adaptor with camera just for
avoiding this error. It really bothers u till u read the manual and do
some thinking, b cos 62 is related to initialise and initialise is
related to clock and numbering of the photos. What i did was also
create an extra folder so that the conflict of the Internal 32 MB with
External 1 GB got resolved.

Cybershot wont connect to the usb
are you connecting to the same USB slot you use to connect before?
Check from the BIOS of your computer is USB port is enabled.
or go to My computer then right click, choose Properties, then select Hardware > Device Manager. Look for the Universal Serials Bus Controllers, then expand. Find the usb port right click on it> select disable.
Sony DSC T100 will not focus, nor take the photo.
if the hand icon is displayed while taking a picture, then according the camera the device is under vibration. this message is due to the fact that the lens array is under a serious problem and probably you should have dropped it.
it costs about 60$ to repair it under sony.
There is a strange sound coming from my camera and vibrations
Hi there.
It sounds like the lens is having difficulty moving into position, cover the lens with your thumb and spray a little WD-40 around the affected area.
With the camera card, take it out, clean the contacts and blow down the slot to remove any dust that may have built up.
Make sure the camera is turned off while you spray it.
Good luck and thanks for choosing FixYa!!
There is a strange sound coming from my camera
The grinding sound is the gears grinding in the lens. When you turn on the camera, the lens comes out. If you hear a low grinding noise the gears could have lent, sand, dust, etc. trapped between. It can become a problem over time. When you switch modes, lens will adjust to whatever setting. Thats why you get it sometimes and not all the time. And really theres not much you can do. You can try taking it to penn camera or ritz camera and ask them to use an air compressor to try and blow out whatever is in the gears, but its not going to be a quick easy fix depending on whats trapped. Cost of fixing your camera is around $120. Sony is not a cheap company.
As far as the memory card, have you formatted it? Whenever you delete pictures, the are still on the card. So you can still recover them with the right software. Try reformatting you card. Please bare with me im not positive word for word on your menu settings. Should be under Menu --> Tools (3rd option down. The picture to the right of it looks like a memory card) And go to format. You either 1 need a new memory card or 2 just need to format it. Please make sure that you are pushing the memory card all the way in the slot. Push in until it clicks. Its spring loaded.
Sony DSC-T100
Well I can't tell you what E:62:11 means and why it disappears when memory is taken out, however I experienced this
same problem with my DSC t-100 but mine did not go away no matter what i did, I looked around online for some
solutions I found this one site
http://www.camerahacker.com/Forums/DisplayComments.php?file=Digital%20Camera/Sony/E.62.10_on_DSC-T9
basically what many people said was the error was probably due to
focusing problems if you may have dropped the camera before. On the
site they recommended to hit the camera lightly on the side where the
battery is located, while the camera is booting up. I did this, and to
my surprise IT ACTUALLY WORKED! I couldn't believe it but the error
message is gone, and I haven't seen it since. Hope this helps.
My DSC-T100 won't allow any changes to the flash setting.
The flash settings on the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T100 are Auto, Forced Flash, Slow Syncro and No Flash, if it is not giving you a flash and wont allow you to change the setting you might have to talk to sony or the store you bought the camera from. One long shot would be that depending on what other features you are using on the camera, i could be set up to not allow you to change the flash settings in that "mode". Sorry if this is useless, but good luck and if all else fails use sony support! :)

To solve an error
You could try this
· Turn the camera off
· Hold the camera face down over a hard surface (Like you are going to take of your desk) with only about half an inch above the surface.
OR reference the video files below for an alternate method.
· Turn the camera on
· Let the lens extend into the hard surface, don’t let it extend all the way. Mine retracted slightly and then tried to extend again (let it extend the second time).
· Lift the camera away from the hard surface and notice that the error message is gone.
· Take pictures of your favorite things.
